2008 Martyr's Memorial B-Division League
The 2008 Martyr's Memorial B-Division League was the 2008 season of the Martyr's Memorial B-Division League. A total of 9 teams competed in the league. The season began on 9 September 2008 and concluded on 29 September February 2006. Swayambhu Club won the league and was promoted along with Himalayan Sherpa Club, Bansbari Club, and Koilapani Polestar Club. Being based in Nawalparasi, Koilapani would therefore become the first ever team from outside the Kathmandu Valley to be promoted to the A-Division League. Teams League table Controversy On 18 September 2008, in a match against Kathmandu Club, players and officials of Kumari Youth Club attacked and beat referee Sachin Amatya, for which the match was abandoned in the 34th minute. Martyr's Memorial B-Division League
Martyr's Memorial 'B' Division League (Nepali: शहीद स्मारक बी डिभिजन लीग) is the second tier of the association football league of Nepal football league system after the Martyr's Memorial A-Division League. It was established in 2003 and is run by the All Nepal Football Association.It is currently being held in ANFA Complex. Structure The league is formatted as a single round-robin tournament with the top two team getting promoted to the Martyr's Memorial A-Division League and the bottom two teams relegated to the Martyr's Memorial C-Division League. This structure has not remained constant however as the league structure is changed every year by the All Nepal Football Association. All Nepal Football Association
The All Nepal Football Association (ANFA) (Nepali: अखिल नेपाल फुटबल संघ (एन्फा)) is the governing body of football in Nepal. It is responsible for the national team as well as club competitions. The organisation was founded in 1951 as the All Nepal Football Association and became affiliated with FIFA in 1972. The current President of ANFA is Pankaj Bikram Nembang. Its current headquarters is located in the ANFA House in ANFA Complex, Satdobato. History Pre-ANFA (1921–1950) The entry and initial start-up of football came in Nepal during the Rana regime in 1921. The game was introduced in Nepal by the young players who had learnt this game from other countries. Games was watched by a huge mass of audience and became very famous at that time. 2011 Martyr's Memorial A-Division League
The 2011 Martyr's Memorial A-Division League (known as the Martyrs' Memorial Red Bull 'A' Division League Football Tournament 2011 for sponsorship reasons) was the 39th season of the A-Division League since its establishment in 1954/55. A total of 18 teams competed in the league. The season began on 28 April 2011 and concluded on 16 July 2011. Defending champions Nepal Police Club won the league. A record of 18 teams participated in the league, playing a total of 153 matches. The timing also had to be reduced to final constraints and the timing of world cup qualifiers. The major was due the inception of National League as the top-tier league of country. Therefore, the league returned to single leg round robin formation. Nawalparasi District
Nawalparasi District ( ne, नवलपरासी जिल्ला, ), part of which belongs to Gandaki Province and part to Lumbini Province, was one of the seventy-five List of districts of Nepal, districts of Nepal before being divided into Parasi, Nepal, Nawalparasi (West of Bardaghat Susta) and Nawalpur, Nawalparasi (East of Bardaghat Susta) in 2015. Parsa District
Parsa District ( ne, पर्सा जिल्ला), a part of Madhesh Province in Terai plain, is one of the seventy-seven districts of Nepal.
