2007–08 Texas Longhorns Men's Basketball Team
The 2007–08 Texas Longhorns men's basketball team represented The University of Texas at Austin in NCAA Division I intercollegiate men's basketball competition as a member of the Big 12 Conference. The 2007–08 team shared the Big 12 championship, won a school-record 31 games, and reached the Elite Eight of the 2008 NCAA tournament. Rick Barnes
Richard Barnes (born July 17, 1954) is an American college basketball coach who is currently the head coach at the University of Tennessee. He is also known for coaching at the University of Texas from 1998 to 2015, taking the team to the NCAA Division I men's basketball tournament in 16 of his 17 seasons—including 14 straight from 1999 to 2012—as well as a Final Four appearance in 2003. Barnes also previously coached at George Mason University, Providence College, and Clemson University. He has an overall record of 28–26 (.519) in the NCAA tournament (including 19–16 while at Texas). Early life Barnes was born on July 17, 1954, and grew up in Hickory, North Carolina. He is a 1977 graduate of Lenoir-Rhyne College where he was a member of the men's basketball team. Damion Marquez Williams James (born October 7, 1987) is an American former professional basketball player who last played for Vaqueros de Bayamón of the Baloncesto Superior Nacional (BSN). He played college basketball for Texas. High school career Considered a five-star recruit by Rivals.com, James was listed as the No. 7 small forward and the No. 17 player in the nation in 2006. He initially signed to play college basketball at the University of Oklahoma for head coach Kelvin Sampson. The UC Davis Aggies men's basketball team represents University of California, Davis in Davis, California, United States. The team currently competes in the Big West Conference. The team is led by head coach Jim Les, who is in his 14th season at the helm during the 2024-25 season. Alexis Mang-Ikri Wangmene (born March 1, 1989) is a Cameroonian professional basketball player who last played for FAP of the Basketball Africa League (BAL). Rosenberg is a city in the U.S. state of Texas, within the Houston–The Woodlands–Sugar Land metropolitan area and Fort Bend County. Dexter Jerome Pittman (born March 2, 1988) is an American former professional basketball player. He played college basketball for the University of Texas. High school career Pittman was a three-year starter at B. F. Terry High School, where he averaged 15 points and 8.5 rebounds per game over his career.
