2007–08 Mid-American Conference Men's Basketball Season
The 2007–08 Mid-American Conference men's basketball season began with practices in October 2007, followed by the start of the 2007–08 NCAA Division I men's basketball season in November. Conference play began in January 2008 and concluded in March 2008. Kent State won the regular season title with a conference record of 13–3 over second-place Western Michigan. Kent State defeated third-seeded Akron in the MAC tournament final and represented the MAC in the NCAA tournament. As the nine seed in the Midwest Region they lost in the first round to UNLV. Preseason awards The preseason poll was announced by the league office on October 18, 2007. 2007–08 Eastern Michigan Eagles Men's Basketball Team
The 2007–08 Eastern Michigan Eagles men's basketball team represented Eastern Michigan University during the 2007–08 NCAA Division I men's basketball season. The Eagles, led by 3rd year head coach Charles E. Ramsey, played their home games at the Eastern Michigan University Convocation Center and were members of the West Division of the Mid-American Conference. They finished the season 14–17, 8–8 in MAC play. They team finished 2nd in the MAC West. They were knocked out in the 2nd round of the MAC Tournament by Western Michigan. The team captains were Carlos Medlock, Travis Lewis and Jesse Bunkley. Michalis Antonis "Mike" Bramos (, commonly referred to as Michael Bramos), born 27 May 1987, is a Greek-American former professional basketball player. David Anderson Kool (born September 23, 1987) is a former collegiate basketball player for the Western Michigan Broncos men's basketball team. Kool is WMU's all-time leading scorer and was named Mid-American Conference (MAC) Player of the Year in his senior season. James Patrick Christian (born February 6, 1965) is an American college basketball coach who is the head coach of the Canisius Golden Griffins. He previously served as the head coach at Boston College, Kent State, TCU and Ohio. Playing career Christian was born in Bethpage, New York. Joseph David Reitz (born August 24, 1985) is a former American football offensive tackle who played for the Indianapolis Colts of the National Football League (NFL).
