2007 Men's Indoor Hockey World Cup
The 2007 Men's Indoor Hockey World Cup was the second edition of the Men's Indoor Hockey World Cup and held from 14 to 18 February 2007 in Vienna, Austria. Germany men's national field hockey team, Germany were the reigning champions and defended their title by beating Poland men's national field hockey team, Poland 4-1 in the #Final, final. Spain men's national field hockey team, Spain won their first medal by beating the Czech Republic men's national field hockey team, Czech Republic 3-1 in the #Third and fourth place, bronze-medal match. Wayne Fernandes (born December 29, 1978, in Etobicoke, Ontario) is a Canadian field hockey player, who earned his first cap in 1996 against Pakistan. Fernandes started playing hockey at the age of ten, and made his first international goal in 1999 against Germany in the Sultan Azlan Shah Tournament, in Kuala Lampur. Kenneth Pereira (born July 12, 1973 in Toronto, Ontario) is a field hockey midfielder from Canada. He was a member of the Canadian field hockey team at the Summer Olympics in 2000 and 2008. Tommaso Maria Martinelli (4 February 1827 - 30 March 1888) was a Cardinal of the Roman Catholic Church who served as Prefect of the Congregation of Rites. Tommaso Martinelli was born in the parish of Sant'Anna, Lucca as the son of Cosma Martinelli and Maddalena Pardini. He was the brother of Cardinal Sebastiano Martinelli.
