2007 Men's EuroHockey Nations Championship
The 2007 Men's EuroHockey Nations Championship was the 11th edition of the Men's EuroHockey Nations Championship, the biennial international men's field hockey championship of Europe organized by the European Hockey Federation. It was held in Manchester, England from 19 to 26 August 2007. The Netherlands men's national field hockey team, Netherlands won its third title by defeating the defending champions Spain men's national field hockey team, Spain 3–2 in the final. Belgium men's national field hockey team, Belgium won its first-ever medal by defeating Germany men's national field hockey team, Germany 4–3. The top three teams qualified directly for the Field hockey at the 2008 Summer Olympics – Men's tournament, 2008 Summer Olympics. Martin Jones (born 8 February 1981) is a British former field hockey player, who played for Great Britain and England. Biography Jones was educated at Repton School and was an under-18 England international when he signed to play club hockey for Cannock in the Men's England Hockey League for the 1998/99 season. He made his full senior England debut in 2001 and was selected for the 2002 Men's England Hockey League. Jones scored a match-winning hat-trick against the Netherlands during the 2003 Men's EuroHockey Nations Championship. Charles Vandeweghe (born 14 October 1982 in Ghent, East Flanders) is a field hockey forward from Belgium, who was a member of the Men's National Team that missed qualification for the 2004 Summer Olympics in Athens. John-John Dominique Dohmen (born 24 January 1988) is a Belgian professional field hockey player who plays for Orée and the Belgium national team as a midfielder. He played 481 matches for the Belgium national team from 2005 until 2024. Biography John-John Dohmen was born in Anderlecht in 1988, and spent his youth in Ittre. He has graduated in ergotherapy. In 2014, he was a candidate for the Centre démocrate humaniste in the Belgian regional elections in Walloon Brabant. Barry John Middleton (born 12 January 1984) is a British field hockey player. He played as a midfielder and forward for England and Great Britain and is the most capped British hockey player in history and captained his country for many years. Middleton was appointed Member of the Order of the British Empire (MBE) in the 2020 New Year Honours for services to hockey.
