2007 Australian Open – Men's Singles
Defending champion Roger Federer defeated Fernando González in the final, 7–6(7–2), 6–4, 6–4 to win the men's singles tennis title at the 2007 Australian Open. It was his third Australian Open title and tenth major title overall. Federer did not lose a set during the tournament, the first man to do so at a major since Björn Borg at the 1980 French Open, and the first to do so at a major played on hardcourts. Also, Federer made a record-equaling seventh consecutive major final appearance (streak starting at the 2005 Wimbledon Championships), after Jack Crawford during the 1930s, and became the first man to reach eleven consecutive major semifinals (streak started at the 2004 Wimbledon Championships). Jarkko Kalervo Nieminen (born 23 July 1981) is a Finnish former professional tennis player. His highest ranking of world No. 13, achieved in July 2006, is a Finnish record. He has won two ATP singles titles and five doubles titles in his career. David Ferrer Ern (; ; born 2 April 1982) is a Spanish former professional tennis player. He was ranked world No. 3 in men's singles by the Association of Tennis Professionals (ATP) in July 2013. Tomáš Berdych (; born 17 September 1985) is a Czech former professional tennis player. He was ranked world No. 4 in men's singles by the Association of Tennis Professionals (ATP), achieved in May 2015. Berdych won 13 ATP Tour singles titles, including the 2005 Paris Masters. David Pablo Nalbandian (; born 1 January 1982) is an Argentine former professional tennis player. He reached his highest ranking in singles of world No. 3 in March 2006, during a career that spanned from 2000 to 2013.
