2006–07 Virginia Tech Hokies Men's Basketball Team
The 2006–07 Virginia Tech Hokies men's basketball team is an NCAA Division I college basketball team that competed in the Atlantic Coast Conference, finishing the regular season as the third place team in the conference. This season saw the Hokies make their first NCAA Tournament appearance since 1996. During the 2006–2007 regular season, Virginia Tech beat Duke at Cameron Indoor Stadium and also swept North Carolina defeating the top-ranked team both in Blacksburg, VA and their home court in Chapel Hill, NC, although losing 3 times in a row to NC State including a loss ending their ACC tournament run. Seth Greenberg
Seth Vincent Greenberg (born April 18, 1956) is an American college basketball broadcaster who works as an analyst for ESPN. Prior to taking the position at ESPN he was a coach for 34 years, the last 22 as a head coach. Greenberg has been the head coach at Long Beach State, the University of South Florida, and Virginia Tech. He was a two-time ACC Coach of the Year. Early life and college playing career Seth Greenberg is one of the three sons of Marilyn and Ralph Greenberg of Plainview, New York. Older brother Brad also became a college basketball coach. After graduating from John F. Kennedy High School in Plainview in 1974, Greenberg attended Fairleigh Dickinson University in New Jersey. Varina High School
Varina High School is located in eastern Henrico County, Virginia. It is one of nine high schools in Henrico County Public Schools and was founded in 1909, with the current campus opening in 1963. Blacksburg High School
Blacksburg High School is a high school in the Montgomery County public school division. The school serves the town of Blacksburg, Virginia and surrounding areas of the county. History The first Blacksburg High School was located in the former Blacksburg Female Academy building downtown on the block between Draper Road (formerly Water Street) on the east and Otey Street on the west; and between Roanoke and Jackson Streets (on the south and north respectively). The Female academy was created in the 1840s by an act of the Virginia General Assembly. By 1908, the Female Academy had closed and the town had established public school at that location. Andrew Jackson High School of Advanced Technology, A Dedicated Magnet School is the oldest fully accredited high school in Duval County, Florida. It is located just north of downtown Jacksonville on Main Street (U.S. Highway 17). It opened in 1927, the same year the city opened Robert E. Lee High School (now Riverside High School). It was originally an all-white school, but the school became integrated in 1970. It is named for U.S. President Andrew Jackson, an important figure in the history of Florida, after whom the city of Jacksonville is also named. Franklin County High School(FCHS) is located in Rocky Mount, Virginia. Approximately 1900 students attend Franklin County High School, which was founded in 1950. Rocky Mount is a town in and the county seat of Franklin County, Virginia, United States. The town is part of the Roanoke metropolitan area, and had a population of 4,903 as of the 2020 census. It is located in the Roanoke Region of Virginia. History Robert Hill built a block house (fortified residence and trading post) in the 1740s, for trading with Native Americans.
