2006–07 Crewe Alexandra F.C. Season
The 2006–07 season was the 130th season in the club's history, their 84th in the English Football League and first back in League One, the third tier of English football following their relegation from the Championship in the previous season. They finished 13th in League One on 60 points. They also competed in the FA Cup, Football League Cup and the Football League Trophy, where they were eliminated in the first round, third round and area final respectively. Crewe Alexandra F
Crewe () is a railway town and civil parish in the unitary authority of Cheshire East in Cheshire, England. At the 2021 census, the parish had a population of 55,318 and the built-up area had a population of 74,120. Crewe is perhaps best known as a large railway junction and home to Crewe Works; for many years, it was a major railway engineering facility for manufacturing and overhauling locomotives, but is now much reduced in size. From 1946 until 2002, it was also the home of Rolls-Royce motor car production. The Pyms Lane factory on the west of the town now exclusively produces Bentley motor cars. Jon Otsemobor (born 23 March 1983) is an English former professional footballer who played as a right back. Born in Liverpool, he began his career with hometown club Liverpool. He also played for Hull City, Bolton Wanderers, Crewe Alexandra, Rotherham United, Norwich City, Southampton, Sheffield Wednesday, Milton Keynes Dons and Tranmere Rovers. He made headlines at the age of 20 when as an innocent bystander he was shot in the buttocks by an armed gang-member gunman in a Liverpool nightclub. Daniel Mark Woodards (born 8 October 1983) is an English former footballer who played as a defender. He previously played in the Football League for Crewe Alexandra, Milton Keynes Dons, Bristol Rovers and Tranmere Rovers. Club career Early career Woodards was born in Forest Gate, London. Ben Rix
Benjamin Rix (born 11 December 1983) is an English former professional footballer who played as a midfielder. Career Rix joined Crewe Alexandra as a schoolboy, signing as a professional in January 2001. He made his debut in October and make 22 appearances in his first season, most as a substitute. The following season, he was more involved with the team starting 17 games and making six appearances as a substitute. He was developing well and was a regular the next season but a number of injuries limited his appearances. He did not make a single appearance in 2005–06 because of injury and he moved to Scarborough and AFC Bournemouth on loan. David Owen Vaughan (born 18 February 1983) is a Welsh former association football, footballer who is manager of Crewe Alexandra F.C., Crewe Alexandra's under-18 team. Michael Higdon
Michael Higdon (born 2 September 1983) is an English former professional footballer who played as a forward. He began his career with Crewe Alexandra where he came through the youth team before making the break into their first eleven in 2003. In 2007, he joined Scottish side Falkirk and then St Mirren in 2009 and Motherwell in 2011. Michael Joseph O'Connor (born 6 October 1987) is a former professional footballer from Northern Ireland. He began his professional career at Crewe Alexandra in 2005 and soon established himself as a first-team regular. He was loaned out to Lincoln City in March 2009 and was sold to Scunthorpe United in July 2009 for a £250,000 fee.
