2006–07 Blackpool F.C. Season
The 2006–07 season was Blackpool F.C.'s 99th season (96th consecutive) in the Football League. It was also their fifth consecutive season in the third tier of English football. They finished third, and were promoted via the play-offs to The Championship. Andy Morrell was the club's top scorer, with twenty goals (sixteen in the league, three in the FA Cup and one in the League Trophy). It was Simon Grayson's first full season as manager. Season review 2006 Blackpool's league season began on 5 August 2006, with a long trip to Brentford. Olafur Ingi Skulason's 74th-minute strike — what turned out to be his only goal of the season — gave all three points to the hosts. Blackpool F
Blackpool is a seaside town in Lancashire, England. It is located on the Irish Sea coast of the Fylde peninsula, approximately north of Liverpool and west of Preston, Lancashire, Preston. Barnsley () is a market town in South Yorkshire, England. It is the main settlement of the Metropolitan Borough of Barnsley and the fourth largest settlement in South Yorkshire. William Richard Hoskins (born 6 May 1986) is an English footballer who plays for club Kings Langley, where he plays as a forward. Playing career Rotherham United Hoskins was born in Nottingham, Nottinghamshire, where his career began at local club Notts County's School of Excellence, before he joined Rotherham United's youth system in South Yorkshire. Jack William Lester (born 8 October 1975) is an English football coach and former professional player, who is a head of player development at EFL Championship club Sheffield United. As a player Sheffield born Lester played as a forward from 1994 to 2014. He came through the youth ranks at Grimsby Town where he moved into the first team in 1994. He became a first team regular and was part of the squad that was victorious in the Football League Trophy and Football League Second Division play-offs during the 1997–98 season. The English Football League Trophy, officially known as the Vertu Trophy for sponsorship reasons, is an annual English football knockout competition open to all clubs in EFL League One and EFL League Two and U-21 teams from the Premier League and the EFL Championship. Launched in the 1981–82 football season as the Football League Group Cup, it was a replacement for the Anglo-Scottish Cup, which had been discontinued after the withdrawal of Scottish League clubs.
