2006–07 Birmingham City F.C. Season
The 2006–07 in English football, 2006–07 season was Birmingham City Football Club's 104th consecutive season played in the English football league system, their 46th in the second tier of English football, and their first season at that level under the name of the Football League Championship. Managed by Steve Bruce, Birmingham were promoted back to the Premier League after just one season in the Championship. They reached the fourth round of both the 2006–07 FA Cup and 2006–07 Football League Cup, League Cup. The 2006–07 season also marked the 100th anniversary of the first match held at their St Andrew's (stadium), St Andrew's stadium. Steve Bruce
Stephen Roger Bruce (born 31 December 1960) is an English professional Manager (association football), football manager and former Association football, player who was a centre-back in a twenty-year playing career. He is currently the head coach of EFL League One club Blackpool F.C., Blackpool. Born in Corbridge, Northumberland, Bruce was a promising schoolboy footballer but was rejected by several professional clubs. He was on the verge of quitting the game altogether when he was offered a trial with Gillingham F.C., Gillingham. He was offered an apprenticeship and went on to play more than 200 games for the club before joining Norwich City F.C., Norwich City in 1984, winning the 1985 Football League Cup Final, League Cup in 1985. Premier League
The Premier League is a professional association football league in England and the highest level of the English football league system. Contested by 20 clubs, it operates on a system of promotion and relegation with the English Football League (EFL). Sebastian Larsson
Bengt Ulf Sebastian Larsson (; born 6 June 1985) is a Swedish former professional Football player, footballer who played as a midfielder. Beginning his career at hometown club IFK Eskilstuna, Larsson was signed by Arsenal F.C., Arsenal. He made three Premier League appearances for the Gunners, before joining Birmingham City F.C., Birmingham City, initially on loan for the 2006–07 Football League Championship, 2006–07 season, before a permanent transfer in the winter of 2007. Bruno Ngotty
Bruno Ngotty (born 10 June 1971) is a French former professional footballer. He played as a centre-back from 1988 until 2008, however he came out of retirement briefly in 2011. As well as his native country he has played in the top flight divisions in both Italy and England. He has notably played for Olympique Lyonnais, Paris Saint Germain, AC Milan, Olympique Marseille and Bolton Wanderers as well as earning six caps for France. Mikael Kaj Forssell (born 15 March 1981) is a Finnish former professional footballer who played as a striker. He is currently working as an assistant coach of HJK Helsinki, having previously worked as a youth coach for the club. Forssell began his professional career in 1997 for HJK, having progressed through the team's youth teams, but he only remained at the club for a single season, making 17 league appearances, before he moved to England to join Chelsea in 1998. Cameron Zishan Rana-Jerome (born 14 August 1986), known as Cameron Jerome, is an English former professional footballer who played as a striker. Jerome began his career as a trainee with Huddersfield Town, Grimsby Town, Sheffield Wednesday and Middlesbrough before signing a professional contract with Cardiff City in the summer of 2004.
