2005–06 Stanford Cardinal Men's Basketball Team
The 2005–06 Stanford Cardinal men's basketball team represented Stanford University in the 2005–06 NCAA Division I men's basketball season. It was Trent Johnson's second season with the Cardinal. They were a member of the Pacific-10 Conference. Previous season The Cardinal finished Trent Johnson's first year achieving an overall record of 18–13 and an 11–7 record in conference play. Finishing a tie for third in the Pac-10 conference, the Cardinal defeated Washington State in the quarterfinals, only to lose in the semifinals to Washington. The Cardinal earned a bid to the NCAA tournament as an 8 seed in the Austin Region. In their first, and only, game they faced against the #9 seed Mississippi State only to lose 93–70. Trent Johnson
Trent Aubrey Johnson (born September 12, 1956) is a former American college basketball coach. Johnson had previously been the head coach at Cal State University Northridge, Texas Christian University, Louisiana State University, Stanford University, and University of Nevada. Early life and education Johnson was born in Berkeley, California. He graduated from Franklin High School in Seattle, Washington in 1974 and played at Boise State University from 1974 to 1978. He received his bachelor's degree in physical education from Boise State in 1983. Coaching career Nevada The University of Nevada, Reno hired Johnson as head coach for Nevada Wolf Pack men's basketball on March 7, 1999. This culminated in the 2003–04 season, when Johnson guided the Wolf Pack to a 25–9 record and its first NCAA tournament appearance since 1985. Curtis Senior High School
Curtis Senior High School is a public high school located in University Place, Washington. Curtis Senior High School is a part of the University Place School District and the only high school in the district. The University Place school district includes most of University Place and portions of Fircrest and Tacoma. History The school's namesake comes from the former UPSD Superintendent George R. Curtis. The school opened in 1957 as a joint junior-senior high school at the corner of 40th and Grandview. In 1962, a high school facility was built about 500 yards east of the junior high that then extended up 40th Street. This separated the schools from 8th-9th grade for the junior high and 10th-12th grade for the senior high school. And after this, the original site became just a junior high school. Fox Lane High School is a public high school in Bedford, New York, United States. It is named after the road, Fox Lane, that begins just to the side of the school's driveway. Southlake is a city located predominantly in Tarrant County with minor areas extending into Denton County in the U.S. state of Texas. Southlake is a suburb of Dallas/Fort Worth. River Hills is a village in Milwaukee County, Wisconsin, United States. The population was 1,602 at the 2020 census. A suburb of Milwaukee, it is part of the Milwaukee metropolitan area. History In the early 19th century, the River Hills area was controlled by Native Americans, including the Menominee, Potawatomi, and Sauk people. The Menominee surrendered the land east of the Milwaukee River to the United States Federal Government through the Treaty of Washington in 1832. In 1833, the Potawatomi surrendered the land west of the river by signing the 1833 Treaty of Chicago, which (after being ratified in 1835) required them to leave Wisconsin by 1838. The land was organized as part of the Town of Milwaukee in 1835, and much of the land was bought by land speculators, who cleared the old-growth forests for timber.
