2005–06 Bolton Wanderers F.C. Season
The 2005–06 season was the 128th season in Bolton Wanderers F.C.'s existence and their fifth consecutive year in the top-flight. This article covers the period from 1 July 2005 to 30 June 2006. Having finished sixth the previous season, Bolton had qualified for the UEFA Cup for the first time in their history. Season summary In June 2005, Allardyce's assistant Phil Brown, left Bolton to take up the challenge of managing Derby County and he was replaced by coach Sammy Lee. Off the field, with Bolton looking to get into Europe for the second successive season, Allardyce was being linked with the England manager's job. Bolton Wanderers F
Bolton ( , locally ) is a town in Greater Manchester in England. In the foothills of the West Pennine Moors, Bolton is between Manchester, Blackburn, Wigan, Bury, Greater Manchester, Bury and Salford. Sammy Lee (footballer)
Samuel Lee (born 7 February 1959) is an English professional football coach and former footballer. Lee played most of his career for hometown club Liverpool during the 1970s and 1980s as a midfielder, and also represented England fourteen times. He also had playing spells at Queens Park Rangers, Osasuna, Southampton, and Bolton Wanderers. Throughout his career, there was always accusations from teammates that he didn’t shower, notably many refused to room with him. After retiring as a player, Lee joined the coaching staff at Liverpool before joining Sven-Göran Eriksson's England set-up in 2001. Radhi Ben Abdelmajid Jaïdi (; born 30 August 1975) is a Tunisian former Association football, footballer who played as a Defender (association football)#Centre-back, centre back. Kevin Davies
Kevin Cyril Davies (born 26 March 1977) is an English former professional footballer who played as a striker for Chesterfield, Southampton, Blackburn Rovers, Millwall, Bolton Wanderers and Preston North End. He managed Southport in the 2017–18 season, before his contract was terminated on 30 April 2018. Davies originally made his name as a vital part of the Chesterfield team which reached the semi-finals of the FA Cup in 1997. Ian Walker (footballer)
Ian Michael Walker (born 31 October 1971) is an English football coach and former professional footballer, he is the goalkeeping coach of Chinese Super League side Shanghai SIPG. As a player, he was a goalkeeper who notably played in the Premier League for Tottenham Hotspur and Leicester City. He made 259 league appearances for Spurs and was their first choice keeper from 1994 until just before his departure in 2001. He also finished his career with a three-year spell in the top flight with Bolton Wanderers but all eight of his appearances came in cup competitions. Ricardo Wayne Gardner (born 25 September 1978), commonly known as Bibi, is a Jamaican former professional footballer. He works as assistant coach at Portmore United. A left winger, he could also play in the centre of midfield or at left wing-back. Augustine Azuka "Jay-Jay" Okocha ( ; born 14 August 1973) is a Nigerian former professional footballer who played as an attacking midfielder. Henrik Pedersen (born 10 June 1975) is a retired Danish footballer who played as a striker for Silkeborg IF, Bolton Wanderers and Hull City. He played three games for the Danish national team. Iván Campo Ramos (born 21 February 1974) is a Spanish former professional footballer. Originally a centre-back, he featured in a defensive midfield role in the later years of his career. Gary Speed
Gary Andrew Speed (8 September 1969 – 27 November 2011) was a Welsh professional footballer and manager. As manager of Wales, Speed is often credited as being the catalyst for the change in fortunes of the national team and as setting the pathway to future successes. Bruno Ngotty (born 10 June 1971) is a French former professional footballer. He played as a centre-back from 1988 until 2008, however he came out of retirement briefly in 2011. Nicholas Brett Hunt (born 3 September 1983) is an English former footballer. He is a coach for Warrington Rylands 1906. He is best known for his spell at Bolton Wanderers at the beginning of his career. Originally a right-back, he converted to centre-back in 2016 in order to extend his playing career.
