2005–06 All-Ireland Senior Club Football Championship
The 2005–06 All-Ireland Senior Club Football Championship was the 36th staging of the All-Ireland Senior Club Football Championship since its establishment by the Gaelic Athletic Association in 1970–71. The competition began on 16 October 2005 and concluded on 17 March 2006. The defending champion was Ballina Stephenites; however, the club did not qualify after losing to Charlestown Sarsfields in the 2005 Mayo SFC quarter-final replay. Salthill–Knocknacarra defeated St Gall's by 0–7 to 0–6 in the final at Croke Park on 17 March 2006 to win the competition. It was the club's first title. James Masters from the Nemo Rangers club was the competition's top scorer, finishing with 2–17. Éire Óg are a GAA club based in Carlow town. The club are solely involved in the sport of gaelic football, fielding teams across all underage categories as well as adult competitions. Formed in 1958, the club has enjoyed tremendous success on the field and are one of the most successful clubs in the history of Carlow GAA. St Peters, Dunboyne is a Gaelic Athletic Association club based in the town of Dunboyne, in County Meath, Republic of Ireland, Ireland. The club competes at senior level in football, hurling, Camogie and ladies football in Meath GAA competitions. The club was founded in 1902 by primary school teacher, Bob O'Keefe. Muckalee GAA
Muckalee GAA is a Gaelic Athletic Association club located in Muckalee, County Kilkenny, Ireland. The club is solely concerned with the game of Gaelic football. It is a sister club of St. Martin's. History Located in the townland of Muckalee, on the Carlow-Kilkenny border, Muckalee United, as the club was then known, was founded in 1917. The club was just five years old when it contested the JFC final, losing out to Barrow Rovers on that occasion. Muckalee made a breakthrough by winning the Northern JFC title in 1947, a win which was later converted into a Kilkenny JFC title. Further junior honours were claimed in 1953, 1966 and 1973. After promotion to the senior ranks, Muckalee claimed their first Kilkenny SFC title in 1968. It was the first of five titles, the last of which was claimed in 1990. Cusack Park (' in Irish language, Irish) is a Gaelic Athletic Association, GAA stadium in Mullingar, County Westmeath, Republic of Ireland, Ireland. It is the main grounds of Westmeath GAA's Gaelic football and hurling teams. History The ground, named after GAA founder Michael Cusack (Gaelic Athletic Association), Michael Cusack, was opened in 1933 and had a capacity of 15,000. However following a national review of health and safety at GAA grounds in 2011, the overall capacity was reduced to 11,500. The opening of the stadium was marked by two matches on the same day, the latter match, Dublin versus Kerry, was opened by the dropping of a ball from a low-flying aeroplane. In August 1994, a £1 million development programme was announced for the stadium including a new stand that would accommodate more than 2,000 with an additional 1,000 in covered accommodation, which was to begin in 1995 and be completed in time for the 1995 County Finals. Kiltoom
Kiltoom, also ''Kiltomb'' (), is a civil parish as well as an electoral division in County Roscommon, Ireland. There is also an eponymous townland in the parish. Kiltoom is located northwest of Athlone on the southwestern shore of Lough Ree. The main road in the parish area is the N61 road (Ireland), N61 between Athlone and Roscommon. Páirc Seán Mac Diarmada () is a GAA stadium in Carrick-on-Shannon, County Leitrim, Ireland. It is the home of Leitrim GAA's football and hurling teams. It was named for the Irish revolutionary Seán Mac Diarmada, one of the leaders of the 1916 Easter Rising. St Brigid's GAA Club (''Naomh BrÃd'') is a Gaelic football club located in the parishes of Kiltoom and Cam in County Roscommon, Ireland. The club was founded in 1944 and is a member of the Roscommon GAA branch of the Gaelic Athletic Association.
