2004–05 Ohio Bobcats Women's Basketball Team
The 2004–05 Ohio Bobcats women's basketball team represented Ohio University during the 2004–05 NCAA Division I women's basketball season. The Bobcats, led by seventh year head coach Lynn Bria, in her final year, played their home games at the Convocation Center in Athens, Ohio as a member of the Mid-American Conference. They finished the season 13–16 and 8–7 in MAC play. Preseason The preseason poll was announced by the league office on October 20, 2004. Lynn Bria
Lynn Bria (born August 1, 1968) is an American basketball coach who as of 2023 is the head coach of the Stetson Hatters women's basketball team. Prior to being named the head coach at Stetson, Bria served in head coaching roles at Ohio, UCF, and Texas Woman's University. The Convocation Center is a 13,000-seat multi-purpose arena that is home to the Ohio Bobcats basketball, volleyball, and wrestling teams. History The Convocation Center, also known locally as "The Convo," was designed by architecture firm Brubaker/Brandt of Columbus, Ohio and built by Knowlton Construction Company of Bellefontaine, Ohio. The first men's basketball game in the arena featured an 80–70 Ohio victory over the Indiana Hoosiers on December 3, 1968. 2004-05 NCAA Division I Women's Basketball Rankings
A coxless four, abbreviated as a 4- and also called a straight four, is a racing shell used in the sport of competitive rowing. It is designed for four persons who propel the boat with sweep oars, without a coxswain. The crew consists of four rowers, each having one oar. There are two rowers on the stroke side (rower's right hand side) and two on the bow side (rower's lefthand side). As there is no coxswain, the rudder is controlled by one of the crew, normally with the rudder cable attached to the toe of one of their shoes which can pivot about the ball of the foot, moving the cable left or right.
