2004 NCAA Division II Men's Soccer Championship
The 2004 NCAA Division II Men's Soccer Championship was the 33rd annual tournament held by the NCAA to determine the top men's Division II college soccer program in the United States. Bobby McAlister's 70th minute goal broke a one-one tie and Seattle (22-0-1) defeated SIU Edwardsville in the tournament final, 2–1. It marked the ninth time a team finished a Div. II season without a loss. McAlister was named the offensive MVP of the Final Four. The final and semi-finals were played at the Midwestern State University Soccer Field in Wichita Falls, Texas. NCAA Division II Men's Soccer Championship
The NCAA Division II Men's Soccer Championship is the annual tournament held by the NCAA to determine the top men's Division II college soccer program in the United States. It has been played annually since 1972; prior to then, all teams competed in a single class. The most successful program has been Southern Connecticut State, with six national titles. The current champion are Franklin Pierce, who won their first national title in 2022, defeating CSU Pueblo, 2–0, in the final. Format The Division II tournament is structured around four unbalanced Super Regionals from the eight NCAA regions (Atlantic, Central, East, Midwest, South, South Central, Southeast, and West). At least two and as many as six teams from each region are selected with no automatic qualifiers given. The Montevallo Falcons are the athletic teams that represent the University of Montevallo, in Montevallo, Alabama, in NCAA Division II intercollegiate sports. The Falcons compete primarily as members of the Gulf South Conference where fourteen of Montevallo's sports belong. Rivals include UWA, AUM, UAH, and UNA. The track and field teams are independents while the lacrosse program is a member of the Great Lakes Valley Conference (GLVC). The Central Arkansas Bears men's soccer team represents the University of Central Arkansas (UCA) in the ASUN Conference of NCAA Division I men's College soccer, soccer. Before joining the ASUN on July 1, 2021, UCA had been an all-sports member of the Southland Conference, which sponsors soccer only for women, and had played men's soccer in the Sun Belt Conference. The California Vulcans are the intercollegiate sports teams and players that represent Pennsylvania Western University California (PennWest California; known before July 2022 as California University of Pennsylvania), located in California, Pennsylvania. The Lock Haven Bald Eagles are the intercollegiate sports teams of Lock Haven University of Pennsylvania, located in Lock Haven, Pennsylvania. The UMass Lowell River Hawks men's soccer program represents University of Massachusetts Lowell in all NCAA Division I men's college soccer competitions. The River Hawks compete in the America East Conference. The program began in 1976.
