The 2003–04 season was the 102nd season in the history of Norwich City F.C., Norwich City, and the club's ninth consecutive season competing in the Football League First Division. Norwich gained promotion to the FA Premier League as league champions with 94 points, finishing eight points ahead of runners-up West Bromwich Albion F.C., West Bromwich Albion. Kit Norwich maintained their kit manufacturing deal with Xara, who produced a new kit for the next two seasons. Norwich City F
Norwich () is a cathedral city and district of the county of Norfolk, England, of which it is the county town. It lies by the River Wensum, about north-east of London, north of Ipswich and east of Peterborough. The population of the Norwich City Council local authority area was estimated to be 144,000 in 2021, which was an increase from 143,135 in 2019. West Bromwich Albion F
West is one of the four cardinal directions or points of the compass. It is the opposite direction from east and is the direction in which the Sunset, Sun sets on the Earth. Mark Rivers
Mark Rivers (born 26 November 1975) is an English former professional footballer who played as a forward from 1994 until 2006 notably for Crewe Alexandra and Norwich City. Career Crewe Alexandra Mark Rivers was a product of the Crewe Alexandra F.C. Academy, signing his first professional contract in May 1994. At the same time, he was loaned out to Norwegian 2. divisjon club Sarpsborg FK, and made his debut in the cup against Vålerenga. He was diagnosed with mononucleosis and left Sarpsborg in late June. Rivers made his Crewe debut on 4 October 1995 coming on as a substitute in an EFL League Cup second round tie against Sheffield Wednesday at Hillsborough. He scored his first Crewe goal, again after coming on as a substitute, in Crewe's 8–0 win over Hartlepool United at Gresty Road. Leon McKenzie
Leon Mark McKenzie (born 17 May 1978) is an English former professional footballer who played as a forward from 1995 to 2013 who scored in all four English professional leagues during his career. He was also a professional boxer, competing in the super middleweight class. McKenzie started his professional career with Crystal Palace in 1995. He also appeared for Fulham and Peterborough United on loan whilst with The Eagles before securing a permanent move to Peterborough in 2000. Three years later he joined Norwich City and was a part of the side which won promotion to the Premier League. He went on to play for Coventry City, Charlton Athletic and Northampton Town before dropping into non-league football with Kettering Town and Corby Town. Paul Crichton
Paul Andrew Crichton (born 3 October 1968) is an English football coach and former footballer. He is the goalkeeper coach of National Women's Soccer League club Orlando Pride. Aa a player he was a goalkeeper from 1986 to 2011. During his playing career Crichton notably had lengthy spells with Grimsby Town, Doncaster Rovers, West Bromwich Albion and Burnley having also played as a professional for Nottingham Forest, Notts County, Darlington, Peterborough United, Swindon Town, Rotherham United, Aston Villa and Norwich City. He then moved into the Non-League game where he turned out for York City, Gainsborough Trinity, Stafford Rangers, Leigh RMI and Accrington Stanley. Jim Brennan
James Gerald Brennan (born 8 May 1977) is a Canadian soccer coach, analyst and former player. During his playing career, he played as a defender in Canada and England, most notably with Bristol City, Nottingham Forest, Southampton, Norwich City (where he won the 2003–04 Football League First Division) and Toronto FC. He also earned 49 caps for the Canadian national team, was a member of the Canada side which won the 2000 CONCACAF Gold Cup, and later represented his country at the 2001 FIFA Confederations Cup, the 2002 CONCACAF Gold Cup and the 2005 CONCACAF Gold Cup. Zema Abbey (born 17 April 1977) is an English former professional footballer who played as a striker. He has a degree in Sports Science and Leisure Management from the University of Bedfordshire. His younger brother, Nathan, was also a professional footballer. He also owns a Luton-based company that sell footwear. Playing career Born in Luton to parents from St. Vincent, Abbey began his career with Arlesey Town, before spending a season each at both Baldock Town and Hitchin Town, before joining Cambridge United in February 2000. Iwan Roberts
Iwan Wyn Roberts (born 26 June 1968) is a Welsh former professional footballer who played as a forward from 1986 to 2005 for a number of clubs and the Wales national team. His footballing career started at Watford as a trainee before signing his first professional contract with the club in 1986. He moved to Huddersfield Town in 1990 where he remained for three seasons before transferring to Leicester City. Roberts signed for Wolverhampton Wanderers after three further seasons, but stayed for a single campaign before transferring to Norwich City, where he spent seven years. He played international football for Wales and amassed fifteen caps between 1989 and 2001, without scoring. Roberts made 647 league appearances during his career, almost half of which were for Norwich, where he overcame a weak start to become a fan favourite. Gary Holt (footballer)
Gary James Holt (born 9 March 1973) is a Scottish football player and coach, who was most recently the sporting director at Falkirk. Holt first played competitively for Kilmarnock, making 138 appearances, before transferring to Norwich City, where he made 168 appearances. During his time with Kilmarnock and Norwich he also received ten caps for the Scotland national football team, scoring one goal. Later in his career, Holt also played for Nottingham Forest, Wycombe Wanderers, Colchester United and Lowestoft Town. His playing style was marked by his energy and stamina. "Others were blessed with greater talent, but Holt could always out-beat their heart. And run. Boy, could he run." Phil Mulryne
Philip Patrick Stephen Mulryne, OP (born 1 January 1978) is a Northern Irish Dominican friar and priest in the Catholic Church, and retired professional footballer. Born in Belfast, he started his career at Manchester United before playing more than 150 games for Norwich City and was a Northern Ireland international. After his retirement from football in 2008 Mulryne began studying for the Roman Catholic priesthood. He was ordained as a deacon in October 2016 and then as a priest on 8 July 2017. Football career Mulryne began his career as a youth team player at Manchester United in 1994. He was in the FA Youth Cup winning team of 1995, and became a Northern Ireland international even before he made his first team debut. Craig Fleming
Craig Fleming (born 6 October 1971) is an English former professional footballer who played as a defender. Fleming was first team assistant Coach at Premier League club Southampton, a position he held since 2018 until his departure in 2022. Playing career Fleming began his professional career with his hometown club Halifax Town (69 appearances, no goals) where he made his debut aged 16. He also picked up the Barclays Player of the Month award at the same age. In the summer of 1991 he moved to Oldham Athletic, where he made 192 appearances, scoring one goal. Malcolm George Mackay (born 19 February 1972) is a Scottish professional association football, football coach and former player, who is the sporting director at Scottish Premiership club Hibernian F.C., Hibernian.
