The 2002 Women's World Open Squash Championship was the women's edition of the 2002 World Open, which serves as the individual world championship for squash players. The event took place in Doha in Qatar from 26 October until 2 November 2002. Sarah Fitzgerald won a record fifth World Open title, defeating Natalie Pohrer in the final. Vicky Botwright (born 18 June 1977 in Manchester, United Kingdom) is a squash coach and former professional squash player from England. She reached a career-high world ranking of World No. 5 in 2005. Annelize Naudé (born 1 January 1977) is a Dutch professional squash player. She reached a career-high world ranking of World No. 13 in January 2006, and has won five WISPA tour titles as well as having been the runner-up nine times since 1996. Professional career Naudé's international squash career began in 1996; her world ranking after her first year was No. 53. She climbed up the rankings to No. 36 two years later, but her rankings then fell to a career low of No. 86 in May 2000. Her ranking rose again to No. 25 in late 2001, and she reached No. 20 a year later. She achieved her career best ranking of No. 13 four years later, in January 2006.
