2002 Pacific-10 Conference Men's Basketball Tournament
The 2002 Pacific-10 Conference men's basketball tournament was played March 7–9 at Staples Center in Los Angeles, California. The event was revived after eleven seasons without, and USC made its first appearance in the final. The champion of the tournament was Arizona, which received the Pac-10's automatic bid to the NCAA tournament. The Most Outstanding Player was Luke Walton of Arizona, and a capacity crowd of 18,997 attended the championship game on Seeds The top eight teams participated, with all in the Thursday Teams were seeded by conference record, with a tiebreaker system used to seed teams with identical conference records. The previous four editions included all ten teams, with the final on Sunday. Salim Stoudamire
Charles Salim Stoudamire (born October 11, 1982) is an American former professional basketball player. Stoudamire was selected by the Atlanta Hawks in the second round (31st overall pick) of the 2005 NBA draft. Early life and college Stoudamire graduated from Lake Oswego High School in Lake Oswego, Oregon as a member of the class of 2001. He also attended Lincoln High School in Portland during his freshman year. At the University of Arizona, Stoudamire led the Wildcats to an Elite Eight appearance in 2005. Jason Gardner
Jason Corey Gardner (born November 14, 1980) is an American retired professional basketball player and currently a player relations director at the University of Arizona. Gardner is a native of Indianapolis, Indiana, playing his high school ball at North Central High School (Indianapolis), North Central High School. He was honored at Indiana Mr. Basketball in 1999. The point guard then starred at University of Arizona, Arizona from 1999 to 2003. His team finished second place in the 2001 NCAA Men's Division I Basketball Tournament, losing to Duke University. Sam Clancy (born May 29, 1958) is a former defensive end in the National Football League (NFL). He played for the Seattle Seahawks, Cleveland Browns, and Indianapolis Colts. He also played for the Pittsburgh Maulers and the Memphis Showboats of the United States Football League (USFL).
