Republicans won unified control of United States Congress, Congress, picking up seats in both chambers of Congress, making Bush the first president since Franklin D. Thomas Francis Reilly (born February 14, 1942) is an American attorney and politician who served as the 45th Massachusetts Attorney General. He was born in Springfield, Massachusetts to Irish immigrant parents. He was one of three candidates who sought the Democratic nomination for governor of Massachusetts in the 2006 election. An independent politician or non-affiliated politician is a politician not affiliated with any political party or bureaucratic association. Carla Howell (born 1955) is an American politician, small government advocate and activist.
