Kyoto Purple Sanga
is a Japanese professional football club based in Kyoto. "Sanga" comes from the Sanskrit word ''sangha'', a term meaning "group" or "club" and often used to denote the Buddhist priesthood, associating the club with Kyoto's many Buddhist temples. The club was formerly known as Kyoto Purple Sanga with "purple", the colour of the team uniforms, an imperial colour reflecting Kyoto's status as Japan's ancient imperial capital city. It was decided that, from 2007, the team will simply been known as "Kyoto Sanga". They are the oldest club competing in the J.League. Sagawa Shiga FC
, formerly , was an amateur Japanese football club based in Moriyama, Shiga. They were members of the Japan Football League (JFL). The club formed in 2007 from a merger of two Sagawa Express corporation football clubs in JFL; Sagawa Express Tokyo S.C. and Sagawa Express Osaka S.C. The Tokyo side had been in JFL since 2001 and the Osaka side since 2002. The announcement of the merger was on September 14, 2006 and its base would be moved to Shiga prefecture, the company's corporate base. Blue and silver were their team colours. Their home stadium was the Sagawa Express Moriyama Stadium in Moriyama, Shiga. This merger of two strong teams in JFL proved successful. is a Japanese professional association football team based in Akita, Akita Prefecture. In 2014 they entered the J3 League after previously playing in the Japan Football League, the third tier of the Japanese association football league system. was a Japanese football club based in Muko, Kyoto, Japan. They played for the last time in Japan Football League for 2015 season. History The club was founded in 1986 and started to compete in the Kyoto Prefecture Division 4. They were promoted to Division 1 in 1999 and again to the Kansai Regional League in 2000. They won the League in 2004 and got promoted to the JFL after beating Shizuoka Sangyo University in the play-off. All the players are the employees of Sagawa Printing, a printing company with historical links to the Sagawa Express shipping company. Yokohama FC
is a Japanese professional football club based in Yokohama, Kanagawa Prefecture, part of the Greater Tokyo Area. The club currently plays in the J1 League, which is the first tier of football in the country. The club was formed by fans of Yokohama Flügels as a protest against Flügels' merger with Yokohama Marinos in 1999, becoming the first supporter-owned professional sports team in Japan. Since gaining J.League membership in 2001, Yokohama FC long lasted at the second tier of the Japanese football league system. The club gained promotion to J.League Division 1 for the 2007 season, promoted after winning the Division 2 title. However, YFC were immediately relegated in the following season.
