Eredivisie
The Eredivisie (; "Honour Division" or "Premier Division") is a professional association football league in the Netherlands and the highest level of the Dutch football league system. The league was founded in 1956, two years after the start of professional football in the Netherlands. As of the 2024–25 season, it is UEFA coefficient#Men's association coefficient, ranked the sixth-best league in Europe by UEFA. The Eredivisie consists of 18 clubs. Each club meets every other club twice during the season, once at home and once away. Alkmaar Zaanstreek (), better known internationally as AZ Alkmaar, or simply and most commonly as AZ () in the Netherlands, is a Dutch professional Association football, football club from Alkmaar and the Zaan#The Zaan district, Zaan district. Mark Peter Gertruda Andreas van Bommel (born 22 April 1977) is a Dutch Association football, football coach and former player who played as a midfielder. The title Dutch Footballer of the Year ( Dutch: ''Voetballer van het Jaar'') has been awarded in the Netherlands since 1984. The award is determined by a poll of Dutch professional footballers playing in the First (Eredivisie) and Second (Eerste Divisie) leagues. Rick Hoogendorp
Rick Hoogendorp (born 12 January 1975) is a former Dutch football striker. Career Hoogendorp was born in Blerick, Limburg. He played for MVV Maastricht (1995–1997), FC Dordrecht (1997–1999), RKC Waalwijk (1999–2006), VfL Wolfsburg (2006), and ADO Den Haag (2007–2009) in the Dutch highest league, Eredivisie. He also had a short spell at Celta de Vigo in Spain. Managerial career In the summer 2009, Hoogendorp was hired as a relationship manager for ADO Den Haag. Igor Gluščević (born 30 March 1974) is a Montenegrin retired footballer who played as a striker. Club career Born in Budva, Socialist Republic of Montenegro, Socialist Federal Republic of Yugoslavia, Gluščević started his professional career with FK Vojvodina. Ali Elkhattabi (; born 17 January 1977) is a former professional footballer. Born in the Netherlands, Elkhattabi gained 10 caps for Morocco, making his debut in 1997. Club career Elkhattabi began his professional career in the 1995–96 season with Sparta Rotterdam. After one season, he moved to Heerenveen.
