Primera División A ''(Méxican First A Division)'' is a Mexican football tournament. This season was composed of Invieno 2000 and Verano 2001. Reboceros de La Piedad was the winner of the promotion to First Division after winning Gallos de Aguascalientes in the promotion playoff. Ascenso MX
Ascenso MX, also known as Ascenso BBVA MX for sponsorship reasons, was a professional association football league in Mexico and the second level of the Mexican football league system. Formerly known as Primera División A de México (1994–2009) and also as Liga de Ascenso (2009–2012). The champions of the competition was promoted to Liga MX (top level), and the bottom team was relegated to Liga Premier (third level). In 2012, the league rebranded its name and competition format as Ascenso MX, the major changes (clubs do not need a FMF certification to be promoted and that the competition no longer used group stages). Club Deportivo Veracruz, commonly known as Tiburones Rojos de Veracruz, was a Mexican professional football club based in the city of Veracruz. Aguascalientes, officially the Free and Sovereign State of Aguascalientes, is one of the 32 states which comprise the Political divisions of Mexico, Federal Entities of Mexico. Club Ángeles de Puebla was a football team that played in Mexican Primera División and in Primera División A, it had its home in the city of Puebla de Zaragoza in Mexico. The team was founded in the years 1984–85 after the purchase of the Club de Fútbol Oaxtepec franchise. This team did not have any success, but it was always provided with the support of the people. It was a hardened team that strained to a great extent in its stay in the Mexican Primera División. Club de Fútbol Lobos de la Benemérita Universidad Autónoma de Puebla were a Mexican football club based in Puebla, Mexico. The club represented the Benemérita Universidad Autónoma de Puebla. Real Sociedad de Zacatecas was a Mexican football team from Zacatecas, Mexico. That played for 7 years in the Ascenso MX History Real Sociedad Deportiva de Zacatecas was founded in 1996 by the Mexican beer brewery Modelo.
