The 2000–01 First League of FR Yugoslavia was the ninth season of the FR Yugoslavia's top-level football league since its establishment. It was contested by 18 teams, and Red Star Belgrade won the championship. Incidents Eternal derby abandoned The 115th edition of the Eternal derby match between Red Star Belgrade and FK Partizan on Saturday, 14 October 2000 at the Marakana was abandoned after three minutes of play due to fan rioting. The incident began with Partizan fans, Grobari, pelting the pitch with flares at which point the match play got interrupted. The rioting kept escalating with the southern stand seating being torn off by the Grobari and thrown onto the athletic track. At one point, the team captain Saša Ilić was seen in front of the stand pleading to no avail with the Partizan ultra supporters to stop rioting. First League Of Serbia And Montenegro
The First League of Serbia and Montenegro () was the top Association football, football league of Serbia and Montenegro, before the country's dissolution in 2006. The league was formed as the First League of FR Yugoslavia following the breakup of Yugoslavia in 1992, effectively succeeding the Yugoslav First League. Prior to its 2005–06 Serbia and Montenegro SuperLiga, final 2005–06 season, the league became known as the Serbia and Montenegro Super League. From 1993 to 1998, the league abandoned the traditional single-league structure, which was used in the first season, and the division was split into two groups; Group A (known as IA) for the top-seeded teams and Group B (IB) for the other teams. Grobari
Grobari ( sr-cyr, Гробари, ) are the organized supporters group of the Serbian football club Partizan. They are one of two major football fan groups in Serbia. They generally support all clubs within the Partizan multi-sports club, and mostly wear black and white symbols, which are the club's colors. They are often considered the best in the world and have won the Euroleage award “BKT Challenge” for loudest fans in Euroleague season 24/25. FK Spartak Subotica
Fudbalski klub Spartak Ždrepčeva Krv () is a professional football club from Subotica, Serbia, that plays in the Serbian SuperLiga. The club was founded in 1945 and was named after Jovan Mikić Spartak, the leader of the Partisans in Subotica, who was a national hero and was killed in 1944. After the end of the 2007–08 Serbian League Vojvodina, the club merged with '' Zlatibor Voda'' which won promotion to the Serbian First League thus gaining the name Spartak Zlatibor Voda. FK Mogren
FK Mogren was a football club based in Budva, Montenegro. Founded in 1920, it was two times champion of Montenegrin First League and once winner of Montenegrin Cup. In 2015, following the bankruptcy and debts, FK Mogren was relegated to the lowest-rank competition of football in Montenegro. FK Proleter Zrenjanin () is a defunct football club based in Zrenjanin, Vojvodina, Serbia. History The club was founded on 27 June 1947 by the merger of three local rivals. Their first notable result was reaching the quarter-finals of the 1951 Yugoslav Cup, where they were heavily defeated by Dinamo Zagreb (8–0). The University Clinical Centre of Serbia (; abbr. УKЦС / UKCS) is an academic medical centre located in Belgrade, Serbia. Ljubiša Tumbaković
Ljubiša Tumbaković (, ; born 2 September 1952) is a Serbian professional football manager. He is the most successful coach in the history of Serbian powerhouse Partizan which he led to six national championship titles and three national cup wins during his two spells at the club between 1993 and 2001. He was most recently the manager in the Serbia national team. Ivica Iliev (, ; born 27 October 1979) is a Serbian former professional footballer who played as a forward. Club career Partizan After starting out as a youngster at Rad, Iliev joined the youth system of Partizan in January 1996. He made his first-team debut under manager Ljubiša Tumbaković during the 1997–98 season, recording four league appearances in the process.
