This article lists the squads for the 2000 Women's Rugby League World Cup. The lists are derived from the ''Official Programme'', supplemented by contemporary newspaper articles and the ''New Zealand Rugby League Almanack 2000''. The ''Official Programme'' included pen portraits that named the occupation, position(s), club and past representative teams of most of the players. Australia Australia played four matches in the tournament. Three players from Western Australia were selected and included in the touring party. Heritage numbers were identified in 2021. A contemporary newspaper article listed the playing 17 for Australia's second match (the third of the tournament). Queensland Women's Rugby League Team
The Queensland women's rugby league team represents the Australian state of Queensland in rugby league football. Nicknamed the "Maroons", after the colour of their jersey, the team compete in the annual Women's State of Origin game against arch-rivals New South Wales. Coached by Tahnee Norris and captained by Ali Brigginshaw, the team is administered by the Queensland Rugby League. Until 2017, the team competed in the Women's Interstate Challenge before the game was rebranded as State of Origin in 2018. New South Wales Women's Rugby League Team
The New South Wales Women's rugby league team represents the Australian state of New South Wales in Women's rugby league football. Also known as the Blues due to their sky blue jerseys, the team competes in the annual State of Origin series against the neighboring team, the Queensland Women's rugby league team. History The first state of Origin match began in 1999. Since that time, a 17-year reign had been completed by the Queensland side. New South Wales won their first interstate challenge in 2016 after coming so close to winning in 2015, drawing with Queensland 4 all. New South Wales would then win back to back title winning in 2017. Great Britain Women's National Rugby League Team
The Great Britain women's national rugby league team, also known as the Great Britain Lionesses, represents Great Britain in Women's rugby league. They are administered by the Rugby Football League. The Great Britain Lionesses have placed third in every Women's Rugby League World Cup in which they have competed. In 2006, the RFL announced that after the 2007 All Golds Tour the Great Britain team would no longer compete on a regular basis, and that players would be able to represent England, Wales and Scotland at Test level. It is planned that the Great Britain team will come together in future only for occasional tours, same as the Great Britain Lions. Auckland Rugby League Team
The Auckland rugby league team is the team which traditionally represents all of the clubs which play in the Auckland Rugby League competition. As well as a senior men's team there are also Auckland representative teams throughout the various age groups such as under 15s, under 17s, under 19s and under 21s. Under the new zone scheme introduced in 2010 the Auckland team represents the North Shore, East Auckland and West Auckland, while South Auckland is represented by the Counties Manukau rugby league team. The zone team is named the Akarana Falcons. Trish Hina
Trish Hina (born 3 May 1977) is a female rugby union player. She plays for and Auckland. She has also represented New Zealand in rugby league, touch rugby and softball. She attended Naenae College Hina was a member of the 2010 Women's Rugby World Cup winning squad. In rugby league, Hina debuted for the national team in 1997, scoring five tries in the two Test matches against Australia. This performance was recognised by the New Zealand Rugby League with their Women's Player of the Year Award. Hina played against the touring Great Britain side in 1998. The Bay of Plenty rugby league team (also known as the Bay of Plenty Lakers) are a New Zealand rugby league team who represents the Bay of Plenty Rugby League in New Zealand Rugby League competitions. Laura Tui Mariu (born 2 December 1980) is a Canadian international rugby league player. She represented New Zealand at the 2000, 2003, 2008, 2013 and 2017 Women's Rugby League World Cups. Mariu was chosen to captain the New Zealand Warriors' Women's team in the inaugural NRLW competition in 2018.
