2000 NCAA Division II Men's Soccer Championship
The 2000 NCAA Division II Men's Soccer Championship was the 29th annual tournament held by the NCAA to determine the top men's Division II college soccer program in the United States. Cal State Dominguez Hills (23-1-1) defeated hosts Barry, 2–1, in the tournament final, after four overtime periods. This was the first national title for the Toros, who were coached by Joe Flanagan. NCAA Division II Men's Soccer Championship
The NCAA Division II men's soccer tournament (formerly the NCAA College Division soccer tournament) is an annual event organized by the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) to determine the national champions of men's collegiate soccer among its Division II members in the United States and Canada. It has been held every year since 1972; prior to that, all teams competed in a single tournament. The most successful program has been Southern Connecticut State, with six national titles. Lynn are the defending champions, winning their fourth national title in 2024. Format The Division II tournament is structured around four unbalanced Super Regionals from the eight NCAA regions (Atlantic, Central, East, Midwest, South, South Central, Southeast, and West). The NCAA Division III men's soccer tournament is an annual event organized by the National Collegiate Athletic Association to determine the national champions of men's collegiate soccer among its Division III members in the United States. Miami Shores or Miami Shores Village is a village in Miami-Dade County, Florida. The village is part of the Miami metropolitan area of South Florida. Alen Marcina (born July 30, 1979) is a Canadian soccer coach and former player. He is a three-time champion with San Antonio Scorpions and Rayo OKC in the NASL. Club career Marcina played college soccer with Barry University, and with New Westminster Khalsa in the Pacific Coast Soccer League, before joining the Ottawa Wizards for the 2002–03 CPSL season, where he scored 9 goals in just 10 matches. When the Wizards had their license revoked by the CPSL, Marcina tried his luck in Europe and managed to land a contract with Greek giants and UEFA Cup Participants PAOK Thessaloniki in January 2004.
