Sliema Wanderers F
Sliema ( ) is a town located on the northeast coast of Malta in the Northern Harbour District. It is a major residential and commercial area and a centre for shopping, bars, dining, and café life. It is also the most densely populated town on the island. Lining the coastline is a promenade known as the Sliema Front that has become the ideal spot for joggers and walkers as well as a prolific meeting place for locals during the summer season. Sliema is also known for its numerous rocky beaches, water sports and hotels. The Strand in Sliema is a popular viewing spot for fireworks displays that take place in August. Tarxien Rainbows F
Tarxien ( ) is a town in the Port region of Malta, seat of the Port Regional Council. Its population stood at 8,583 in March 2014. The town is most notable for the Tarxien Temples, a megalithic temple complex which is among the oldest freestanding structures on Earth. It forms part of a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Etymology The etymology of the village may be a corruption of ''Tirix'', meaning a large stone, similar to those used for the village's noted temples. Brian Said (born 15 May 1973) is a Maltese football manager and former player who manages Maltese First Division side St. Andrews, and captain of the Luxol St Andrew's Veteran Team, where he plays as a defender. David Carabott
David Carabott (born 18 May 1968) is a former professional footballer who played for as a defender or midfielder. Born in Australia, he was capped 122 times for the Malta national team, making him second most capped player in Maltese football history. Club career Carabott was born on 18 May 1968 in Melbourne, Australia, and his family moved to Malta at an early age. He joined local club Marsaxlokk in 1979 and made his first team debut in the Third Division match against Mellieħa in the 1981–82 season. He slowly became a regular fixture with the team, and in 1987 he joined Premier League side Hibernians. Ta' Qali
Ta' Qali is a wide open space in the limits of Attard and Mosta in central and northern Malta respectively, which contains National Stadium, Ta' Qali, the national football stadium, the Malta Fairs & Conventions Centre, Ta' Qali National Park, a crafts village, and a national vegetable market which is locally known as the ''Pitkalija''. Shortly before World War II, the area was used to build a military aerodrome and a station for the Royal Air Force (RAF), which the British called RAF Ta Kali; Maltese place names were often corrupted in this fashion. Michael Galea (footballer)
Michael Galea (born 1 February 1979 in Malta) is a retired Maltese footballer who started playing for Maltese First Division side Melita and enjoyed most of his career with Birkirkara where he played as a striker. Playing career Michael started his career with Melita and, in fact, he was a Melita product before being transferred to Birkirkara FC during the 1997–1998 season at a very young age of 18 years. Galea is considered to be the best striker that the 'Stripes' ever had and, with constant loyalty to the Birkirkara FC shirt, he is the club's best scorer ever. Lija Athletic F
Lija () is a small village in the Eastern Region of Malta. Together with Attard and Balzan, it forms part of Malta's "Three Villages" (). Lija has a baroque parish church and seven other small chapels. The parish church is dedicated to Our Saviour. Lija became a parish in 1594, after the small community detached itself from the neighbouring town, Birkirkara. It has a population of 3,162 as of 2021. Culture Lija is mostly known for its fireworks displays that attract thousands of locals and tourists during the festa period held in the first week of August.
