1995 Norwegian Association Meeting At Godlia Kino
The 1995 Norwegian Association meeting at Godlia kino was a meeting that was held on 2 September 1995, right before the electoral campaign for the 1995 local elections. The meeting was attended by many nationalist and far-right organisations, but gained notoriety because the profiled Progress Party Member of Parliament Øystein Hedstrøm was revealed to have been present and held a speech at the meeting. On 3 September 1995, the newspaper ''Dagbladet'' published photos of Hedstrøm holding a speech about immigration at an allegedly secret meeting at the movie theatre ''Godlia kino'' in Oslo. The journalists who had investigated the meeting were Arne O. Holm, Cato Vogt-Kielland and Thor Gjermund Eriksen. The meeting, which went under the name "Year of the grasshoppers" (''Gresshoppenes år''), was attended by 24 persons, including Bastian Heide, Jack Erik Kjuus, Bjarne Dahl, Erik Gjems-Onstad and Hege Søfteland. Hege Søfteland
Hege Søfteland (born 25 July 1959) is a Norwegian nationalist politician and immigration opponent. A former member of the Conservative Party and Progress Party, she has since the late 1980s been present in numerous anti-immigration, far-right and nationalist parties. She was a member of Stop Immigration until 1989 when she was excluded together with Erik Gjems-Onstad and her cohabitant Torfinn Hellandsvik. For the 1991 election she led the short-lived National Democrats, and was later active in the National Alliance, as well as the organization Norwegian League. She is currently a member of the Democrats, and ran for the 2009 election as the party's 7th candidate in Oslo. At a 1992 television debate, she refused to handshake Aslam Ahsan, leader of the Pakistani Labour Union, and among other things stated that "Gro Harlem Brundtland is the biggest country betrayer since World War II". Stop the Immigration ( no, Stopp Innvandringen, SI) was a political party in Norway, founded by Jack Erik Kjuus in 1987. The party was never particularly successful, and its only elected representative was in the Drammen city council, in both 1991 and 1995. The party was succeeded by the White Electoral Alliance in 1995. History Stop the Immigration was founded on 15 September 1987 by Jack Erik Kjuus. The party was formally registered on 27 April 1988, after having collected the required 3,000 signatures. The first election it contested was the 1989 parliamentary election, where the party received 0.3% of the votes, and thus no parliamentary representation. Fatherland Party (Norway)
The Fatherland Party ( no, Fedrelandspartiet, FLP) was a political party in Norway, which was founded by former local Progress Party politician Harald Trefall in 1990. Primarily based in Western Norway, the party supported nationalist positions such as opposition to immigration and the European Union. It got two representatives elected to public office in the 1991 local elections, in a county and municipal council respectively. The party never won representation since, and was dissolved in 2008 after years of electoral inactivity. Fridtjof Frank Gundersen
Fridtjof Frank Gundersen (29 October 1934 – 11 November 2011) was a Norwegian professor of jurisprudence and politician. He worked as a lector at the Faculty of Law of the University of Oslo from 1965 to 1975. In 1975 he became professor of jurisprudence at the Norwegian School of Economics. Gundersen was elected a Member of Parliament in 1981 representing the Progress Party platform, but did not formally join the party until 1990. He fell out of parliament in 1985, but was re-elected for three consecutive four-year terms from 1989. He left the party in 2001, and failed to get re-elected to parliament again in the election later the same year, having stood for a local electoral list. Vidar Sveinung Kleppe (born 16 September 1963) is a Norwegian politician. He was a member of parliament and deputy leader of the Progress Party until he was suspended and left the party in 2001. He was the leader of the Democrats party from 2002 to 2012, and has since 2003 held office as a member of the Vest-Agder county council and the Kristiansand municipal council. Erik Gjems-Onstad
Erik-Ørn Gjems-Onstad, MBE (22 February 1922 – 18 November 2011) was a Norwegian resistance member, officer, lawyer, sports official, politician, author and anti-immigration activist. Gjems-Onstad joined the Norwegian resistance movement after Nazi Germany invaded Norway in 1940. He was arrested in Sweden for his involvement with Norwegian resistance activity in the country in 1941, and was sent to the United Kingdom where he joined the Norwegian Independent Company 1 (''Kompani Linge'') and received British military training. He was deployed to Norway in 1943 as part of Lark, assigned with establishing radio connection with London. He led Lark in Trøndelag between 1943 and 1945, which constituted the leadership of Milorg in the region.
