1999–2000 Florida Gators Men's Basketball Team
The 1999–2000 Florida Gators men's basketball team represented the University of Florida in the sport of basketball during the 1999–2000 college basketball season. The Gators competed in Division I of the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) and the Eastern Division of the Southeastern Conference (SEC). They were led by head coach Billy Donovan, and played their home games in the O'Connell Center on the university's Gainesville, Florida, campus. The Gators were the SEC regular season champions, winning a share of the title with a 12–4 conference record. They earned a five seed in the 2000 NCAA tournament where they advanced to the Final Four and then made the school's first ever appearance in the NCAA championship game where they lost to Michigan State. Billy Donovan
William John Donovan Jr. (born May 30, 1965) is an American professional basketball coach and former player who is the head coach of the Chicago Bulls of the National Basketball Association (NBA). Before moving to the NBA, he served as the head basketball coach at the University of Florida from 1996 to 2015, and led his Florida Gator teams to back-to-back NCAA championships in 2006 and 2007, as well as an NCAA championship appearance in 2000. Donovan was born and raised in Rockville Centre on Long Island, New York, where he played basketball at St. Agnes Cathedral High School. He was the starting point guard for Rick Pitino's Providence College squad and led the Friars to the 1987 Final Four. As such, he is one of only four men (Dean Smith, Joe B. Hall and Bobby Knight being the others) to appear in the NCAA Final Four as a player and win the NCAA national championship as a coach. Concord High School (New Hampshire)
Concord High School is a public high school in Concord, New Hampshire, in the United States. History Concord's first public high school was established in 1846. The original building was the building on the corner of State and School streets. A new school house was built in 1862, which stood until April 1888, when it burned down during a fire started by a chemistry experiment. For the next two years, students took their classes in City Hall. A new high school was built on the same lot, completed and dedicated in September 1890. In 1907, yet another Concord High School, designed to accommodate 500 students, was built on Spring Street in the building which became Kimball School. Armwood High School
Armwood Senior High School is a public high school located in Seffner, Florida, United States, on U.S. Highway 92. It opened in August 1984. The school is named after Blanche Armwood, a longtime Tampa resident, educator and activist. The Armwood family lived in Seffner and became prominent community leaders in Tampa and Florida. She married a lawyer and established schools teaching "household arts". She oversaw Hillsborough County's schools for African Americans and became a lawyer. Booker High School is a public high school in North Sarasota, Florida, United States. It is part of the Sarasota County Public Schools district. The athletic teams are known as the Tornadoes. The school was established to serve a predominantly African American community. History Booker High School is named after a teacher and educational leader in Sarasota's black community, Emma Edwina Booker.
