1999 Wimbledon Championships – Mixed Doubles
Leander Paes and Lisa Raymond defeated Jonas Björkman and Anna Kournikova in the final, 6–4, 3–6, 6–3 to win the mixed doubles tennis title at the 1999 Wimbledon Championships. Max Mirnyi and Serena Williams were the reigning champions, but Williams did not compete due to injury. Mirnyi competed with Mary Pierce, but lost in the second round to Martin Damm and Barbara Rittner. This tournament was noteworthy for the participation of former singles world No. 1s John McEnroe and Steffi Graf as a team. Leander Paes
Leander Adrian Paes ( ; born 17 June 1973) is an Indian former professional tennis player and the first Asian man to be inducted into the International Tennis Hall of Fame. He is regarded as one of the greatest doubles tennis players of all-time and holds the record for the most doubles wins in the Davis Cup. Paes won eight men's doubles and ten mixed doubles Grand Slam (tennis), Grand Slam titles. He holds a career Grand Slam in men's doubles and mixed doubles making him one of only three men in the Open era to achieve this distinction and won the rare men's/mixed double at the 1999 Wimbledon Championships. David Rikl
David Rikl (born 27 February 1971) is a former professional tennis player from the Czech Republic. His success came mostly in doubles, winning 30 titles and finishing runner-up at the 2004 US Open and 2001 Wimbledon Championships Doubles events. Andrew Florent (24 October 1970 – 16 August 2016) was an Australian professional tennis player. Florent was born in Melbourne to parents who had migrated from Mauritius. He enjoyed most of his tennis success while playing doubles. During his career he won 3 doubles titles and finished runner-up an additional 10 times. Justin Jeremy Gimelstob (born January 26, 1977) is a retired American tennis player. Gimelstob has been a resident of Morristown, New Jersey, and as of 2009 lived in Santa Monica, California.
