1997 Wimbledon Championships – Boys' Doubles
Daniele Bracciali and Jocelyn Robichaud were the defending champions, but both turned 18 years old during the season and, therefore, were unable to compete in Juniors. Luis Horna and Nicolás Massú defeated Jaco van der Westhuizen and Wesley Whitehouse in the final, 6–4, 6–2 to win the boys' doubles tennis title at the 1997 Wimbledon Championships. It was the 2nd Grand Slam title for Horna and the 1st Grand Slam title for Massú in their respective junior doubles careers. Luis Horna
Luis Horna Biscari (; born 14 September 1980 in Lima) is a former tour professional tennis player from Peru, who turned professional in 1998. Known by his nickname "Lucho", he won 2 career singles titles, reached the quarterfinals of the 2004 Madrid Masters and achieved a career-high singles ranking of World No. 33 in August 2004. Together with Pablo Cuevas, Horna also won the men's doubles at the 2008 French Open. At the 2003 French Open, he defeated Roger Federer in the first round. Career Juniors Horna was an outstanding junior player, reaching as high as No. 4 in the world in singles 1997 (and No. 3 in doubles). Daniel Elsner
Daniel Elsner (born 4 January 1979) is a former professional German tennis player. Juniors Elsner was an outstanding juniors player. He won 3 consecutive juniors grand slam singles titles: the 1996 Juniors U.S. Open, the 1997 Juniors Australian Open, and 1997 Juniors French Open; as well as making the finals of the subsequent 1997 Juniors Wimbledon. He is one of only 12 male players (as of May 2017) to win at least 3 junior grand slam singles titles, and one of only 4 to do so consecutively. He was a World No. 1 junior player in singles. ATP Tour Elsner turned professional in 1997 and won several futures tournaments, but had limited success on the ATP tour. Fernando Francisco González Ciuffardi (; born 29 July 1980) is a Chilean former professional tennis player. Daniel Kiernan (born 27 March 1980) is a British former professional tennis player. Biography Kiernan, who is originally from the town of Consett near Newcastle, played collegiate tennis in the United States for Louisiana State University. Mostly a doubles player, Kiernan began on the Challenger circuit in 2003 and went on to finish runner-up in four doubles finals during his career. Kiernan made main draw appearances in ATP Tour tournaments in 2004 at Queen's Club and Nottingham, both with David Sherwood, partnering with the same player to make his Wimbledon debut that year. Kirill Ivanov-Smolensky (born 19 February 1981) is a former professional tennis player from Russia. Career Ivanov-Smolensky was a boys' singles semi-finalist in the 1998 Wimbledon Championships. He also made the semi-finals in the boys' doubles, with Slovakian Frantisek Babej, which matched his efforts from Wimbledon the previous year, when he partnered Adrian Barnes to the semi-finals. Olivier Rochus
Olivier Rochus (; born 18 January 1981) is a former Belgian tennis player. Rochus won two singles titles in his career and in 2004 won the French Open doubles title, partnering fellow Belgian Xavier Malisse. His career-high singles ranking is world No. 24. Xavier Malisse (born 19 July 1980) is a Belgian tennis coach and a former professional player. Born in the north-western Flemish Region, Flemish city of Kortrijk and nicknamed ''X-Man'', he is one of only two Belgian men (the other being David Goffin) to have been ranked in the top 20 of the ATP Tour, with a career-high singles ranking of world No. 19. Andy Ram
Andreas "Andy" Ram (; born April 10, 1980) is a retired Israeli professional tennis player. He was primarily a doubles player, and competed in three Olympics. He is the first Israeli tennis player to win a senior Grand Slam event. Ram first won the mixed doubles title at the 2006 Wimbledon Championships, together with Vera Zvonareva. He then won the mixed doubles title at the 2007 French Open with Nathalie Dechy, and the men's doubles title at the 2008 Australian Open with Jonathan Erlich. Federico Luzzi
Federico Luzzi (; 3 January 1980 – 25 October 2008) was an Italian professional tennis player who had been ranked as high as World No. 92. Luzzi had been suspended from professional tennis in 2008 for six months after a determination was made that he had gambled on the outcome of matches over a three-year span. He was diagnosed with leukemia on a Wednesday and died four days later. While he was on suspension and awaiting the outcome of the case he studied acting in Hollywood. He screen tested and was to return to Hollywood in 2009 to begin filming two movies. The FedeLux charity was founded in his honor, searching for a cure for cancer. Paradorn Srichaphan
Paradorn Srichaphan (; ; ; born 14 June 1979) is a Thai former professional tennis player. Srichaphan was the first player from Asia to be ranked in the world's top 10 of men's singles by the Association of Tennis Professionals (ATP), reaching a career high ranking of world No. 9. His nickname is "Ball". He graduated as a Bachelor of Social Science from Ramkhamhaeng University.
