The 1992 Intercontinental Cup was an association football match played on 13 December 1992, between FC Barcelona, winners of the 1991–92 European Cup, and São Paulo FC, São Paulo, winners of the 1992 Copa Libertadores. Sandro Barbosa Carneiro da Cunha (born 17 February 1973), better known as Sandro Barbosa or simply Sandro, is a Brazilian former professional footballer who played as a centre-back. Career Graduated from the youth categories of Sport Recife, he was promoted to the professional team at the age of 19, and was part of the Pernambuco champion squads of 1994 and 1996, in addition to the Copa do Nordeste. Nélio da Silva Melo (born 26 January 1971) better known as Nélio is a Brazilian footballer who played as a midfielder. Career Nélio scored three times for Haladás during the 2000–01 Hungarian National Championship I. He then returned to Brazil to play for Botafogo (SP) in August 2001. He signed for Botafogo (PB) in December 2001. He played in the 2002 Copa do Brasil and the 2002 Campeonato do Nordeste, scoring in the latter competition. He recovered from an injury in April. Marques Batista de Abreu (born February 12, 1973), or simply Marques, is a former Brazilian striker. In 2003, when Marques was playing for Nagoya Grampus Eight he was ranked 2nd highest assists in J1 League as he had 10 assists and was beaten by Yukihiko Sato who had 12 assists during that season. Catalino Rivarola Méndez (born 30 April 1965 in Zabalhos, Asunción) is a former football defender from Paraguay.
