1995–96 Deportivo De La Coruña Season
Deportivo La Coruña's 1995–96 season included its 31st appearance in La Liga, where it ranked in 9th place. The club also competed in the Copa del Rey, the UEFA Cup Winners' Cup and the Supercopa de España. Aitor "Txiki" Begiristain Mujika (born 12 August 1964) is a Spanish former professional footballer who played mainly as a left winger but also as a forward, currently director of football of English club Manchester City. Penalty Kick (association Football)
A penalty kick (commonly known as a penalty or a spot kick) is a method of restarting play in association football, in which a player is allowed to take a single shot at the goal while it is defended only by the opposing team's goalkeeper. It is awarded when an offence punishable by a direct free kick is committed by a player in their own penalty area. The shot is taken from the penalty mark, which is 11 m (12 yards) from the goal line and centred between the touch lines.
