1994–95 Southampton F.C. Season
The 1994–95 Southampton F.C. season was the club's 94th season of competitive football, their 25th in the top flight of Football in England, English football, and their third in the Premier League, FA Premier League. After two seasons finishing just two positions and one point above the relegation zone, Southampton's first and only full season with Alan Ball Jr., Alan Ball as manager saw them achieve 10th place in the league – their highest position since the 1989–90 Southampton F.C. season, 1989–90 season. Southampton is a port City status in the United Kingdom, city and unitary authority in Hampshire, England. Jeff Kenna
Jeffrey Jude Kenna (born 27 August 1970) is an Irish football manager and former professional footballer. He played as a defender from 1989 until 2009, notably in the Premier League for Southampton, Blackburn Rovers and Birmingham City. He was part of the Rovers side that won the title in 1995 following his mid-season transfer from the Saints. He also played in the Football League for Tranmere Rovers, Wigan Athletic and Derby County, finishing his career in England with Non-league side Kidderminster Harriers. Iain Dowie (born 9 January 1965) is a football manager, former professional footballer and sports television pundit. He played as a striker from 1983 until 2001, notably in the Premier League for Southampton, Crystal Palace and West Ham United. He earned 59 caps for Northern Ireland, scoring 12 goals. He also played in the Football League for Luton Town, Fulham and Queens Park Rangers, and in Non-league for Cheshunt, St Albans City and Hendon. Gordon Watson (born 20 March 1971) is an English former professional footballer, scout and sports co-commentator. As a player, he was a forward who notably played in the Premier League for Sheffield Wednesday and Southampton, as well as in the Football League for Charlton Athletic, Bradford City, AFC Bournemouth and Hartlepool United, he made over 200 appearances throughout his career and was capped twice at England U21 level, scoring once. Neil Jason Shipperley (born 30 October 1974) is an English football manager and former professional player who played as a forward. He notably played in the Premier League for Chelsea, Southampton, Crystal Palace, Nottingham Forest and Sheffield United as well as featuring in the Football League for Watford, Barnsley, Wimbledon and Brentford. Colin Cramb (born 23 June 1974 in Lanark) is a Scottish former professional footballer and coach who played as a forward from 1991 and 2009. He notably played for Hamilton Academical, Doncaster Rovers, Bristol City and Stirling Albion. Steve Wood (footballer, Born February 1963)
Steve Wood (born 2 February 1963) is an English former football defender. Wood started his career as an apprentice at Arsenal but was then snapped up by Reading for whom he had eight successful years gaining promotion to the Second Division. He then moved to Millwall for £85,000, and finally onto Southampton for £400,000. He had a brief spells at Oxford United and Woking in the latter part of his career then retired. Ian Edmund Andrews (born 1 December 1964, in Nottingham) is an English former footballer who played as a goalkeeper in the Football League for Leicester City, Swindon Town, Leeds United, Southampton and AFC Bournemouth, and in the Scottish Premier Division for Celtic. He was capped by England at under-21 level. Kevin Moore (footballer, Born 1958)
Kevin Thomas Moore (29 April 1958 – 29 April 2013) was an English professional footballer. Born in Grimsby, Lincolnshire, he played for Grimsby Town, Oldham Athletic, Southampton, Bristol Rovers and Fulham. Moore is one of five members of his family to play for Grimsby, including his brothers David and Andy, his father Roy and his uncle Norman. Illness and death In January 2010, it was reported that Moore was suffering from Pick's disease, a rare form of dementia, and in need of 24-hour care. To support his care, his former club Southampton organised a charity golf day, while another of his former clubs, Grimsby, played a benefit match to provide for Moore's care. He died on his 55th birthday, 29 April 2013, in Hedge End, Hampshire. Bruce Grobbelaar
Bruce David Grobbelaar (born 6 October 1957) is a Zimbabwean former professional footballer who played as a goalkeeper, most prominently for English club Liverpool between 1981 and 1994, and for the Zimbabwean national team. Regarded as one of the best goalkeepers of his era, he is remembered for his gymnastic-like athletic ability, unflappable confidence, eccentric and flamboyant style of play, as well as his rushing ability, which has led pundits to compare him retrospectively to the sweeper-keepers of the modern era.
