1994–95 Philadelphia 76ers Season
The 1994–95 NBA season was the 46th season for the Philadelphia 76ers in the National Basketball Association, and their 32nd season in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The 76ers received the sixth overall pick in the 1994 NBA draft, and selected power forward Sharone Wright out of Clemson University. During the off-season, the team signed free agents Scott Williams, Jeff Grayer, then signed Willie Burton during the first month of the regular season. John Lucas II
John Harding Lucas II (born October 31, 1953) is an American professional basketball coach and former player who most recently served as an assistant coach for the Houston Rockets of the National Basketball Association (NBA). He played basketball and tennis at the University of Maryland, College Park and was an All-American in both. Collegiate career Lucas attended the University of Maryland where he was an All-American in basketball. Lucas was a Second-team All-American for the Terrapins team in 1973–74, along with his teammates Len Elmore and Tom McMillen. The Terrapins had a record of 23–5 in the regular season, and 9–3 in the Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC). However, they lost during the ACC Tournament, and they could not go to the NCAA Tournament. Jeff Malone
Jeffrey Nigel Malone (born June 28, 1961) is an American former professional basketball player. He played college basketball for the Mississippi State Bulldogs, and is mostly known for his time with the Washington Bullets (1983–1990) of the National Basketball Association (NBA), where he was an NBA All-Star twice, playing the shooting guard position. He also played for the Utah Jazz, Philadelphia 76ers, and Miami Heat. Basketball career Malone averaged 19.0 points per game over 13 years in the NBA. Clemson Tigers Men's Basketball
The Clemson Tigers men's basketball team is a college basketball program that represents Clemson University and competes in the NCAA Division I. Clemson is a founding member of the Atlantic Coast Conference. The 1996–97 NBA season was the 48th season for the Philadelphia 76ers in the National Basketball Association, and their 34th season in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. This season is most memorable when the 76ers won the NBA draft lottery, and selected point guard Allen Iverson out of Georgetown University with the first overall pick in the 1996 NBA draft. After two seasons at Georgetown, Iverson quickly established himself as one of the premier point guards in the NBA. 1995–96 Toronto Raptors Season
The 1995–96 NBA season was the first season for the Toronto Raptors in the National Basketball Association. The Raptors, along with the Vancouver Grizzlies, became expansion teams in the NBA during the 1995–96 season, and were the first teams in the league (or its predecessor the Basketball Association of America) to play in Canada since the 1946–47 Toronto Huskies. NBA All-Rookie Team
The NBA All-Rookie Team is an annual National Basketball Association (NBA) honor given since the 1962–63 NBA season to the top rookies during the regular season. Voting is conducted by the NBA head coaches who are not allowed to vote for players on their own team. The players each receive two points for each first team vote and one point for each second team vote. Clarence Weatherspoon Sr. (born September 8, 1970) is an American former professional basketball player in the National Basketball Association (NBA) born in Crawford, Mississippi. The 1995 NBA All-Star Game was the 45th edition of the All-Star Game. The Western Conference won 139–112. The city of Phoenix hosted the event for the second time (the only previous All-Star game there occurred in 1975). Mitch Richmond of the Sacramento Kings was voted MVP of the game.
