1994–95 Mexican Primera División Season
The following are statistics of Primera División de México, the premier soccer division in Mexico, for the 1994–95 season. Overview It was contested by 19 teams, and Necaxa won the championship. The U. de G. franchise briefly disappeared after being acquired by a few Primera Division A teams. Tampico Madero was promoted from Segunda División. The team started the season playing in Tamaulipas, but on week 16, the team was moved to Querétaro and changed its name to TM Gallos Blancos, the owner cited leasing problems at his original venue. TM Gallos Blancos and Correcaminos UAT were relegated to Primera División 'A', the new second-level league in the Mexican system. Liga MX
Liga MX, also known as Liga BBVA MX for sponsorship reasons, is a professional association football league in Mexico and the highest level of the Mexican football league system. Formerly known as Liga Mayor (1943–1949) and also as Primera División de México (1949–2012), it has 18 participating clubs, with each season divided into two short tournaments, ''Apertura'' from July to December and ''Clausura'' from January to May. The champions are decided by a final phase called ''"liguilla"''. Since 2020, promotion and relegation has been suspended, which is to last until 2026. The league currently ranks first in CONCACAF's league ranking index. Tecos F
Tecos Fútbol Club, simply known as Tecos, is a Mexican professional Association football, football club based in Zapopan, Jalisco, and associated with the Universidad Autónoma de Guadalajara (UAG). It competes in Liga Premier de México, Liga Premier, the third level division of Mexican football league system, Mexican football. Founded in 1971 as Club de Fútbol Universidad Autónoma de Guadalajara and commonly known as Tecos UAG, then changed its name to Club Deportivo Estudiantes Tecos in 2009. After the franchise was moved to Zacatecas in 2015, the club remained under its current name. It plays its home games in the Estadio 3 de Marzo (), named for the university founding day in 1935.
