1994–95 Ipswich Town F.C. Season
During the 1994–95 English football season, Ipswich Town competed in the FA Premier League. Season summary Ipswich Town conceded 93 Premier League goals, kept just 3 clean sheets and recorded just 7 wins all season as one of the worst seasons in their history saw them return to the second tier of the league after three seasons in the top flight. Manager John Lyall reverted to manager after being Director of Football for the previous season and during the summer, Steve Sedgley became the club's first £1 million signing. However, Ipswich experienced their worst start to a season for 31 years, losing 11 of their first 15 games. Following defeat by Manchester City at the beginning of December with Ipswich bottom of the league and relegation already looking more than likely, Lyall quit. Steve Sedgley
Stephen Philip Sedgley (born 26 May 1968) is an English former professional footballer, and football manager. As a player, he was a midfielder and a defender. He was capped 11 times for England at under-21 level. who made more than 450 appearances in the Football League and Premier League for Coventry City, Tottenham Hotspur, Ipswich Town and Wolverhampton Wanderers. He became manager of Kingstonian in 2001, and later joined the coaching staff of Luton Town. Playing career Sedgley was born in Enfield. He made more than 180 first-team appearances for Tottenham Hotspur as a player after a £750,000 move from Coventry City in July 1989 before switching to Ipswich Town for £1 million in June 1994. Mick Stockwell
Michael Thomas Stockwell (born 14 February 1965) is an English football manager and former professional footballer. As a player he was a midfielder from 1985 until 2007. He spent eighteen years of his career at Ipswich Town, notching up 506 league appearances for the club and taking part in several Premier League seasons. He moved on to Colchester United in 2000, where he ended his professional career three years later. He then spent time as player-coach of Non-league side Heybridge Swifts before becoming player-manager of Woodbridge Town. Craig Lorne Forrest (born 20 September 1967) is a Canadian former professional soccer player and sports commentator. As a player, he was a goalkeeper from 1985 until 2002, playing his entire career in England. Patrick Mark Cobbold (20 June 1934 – 16 December 1994) was an English businessman and a grandson of Victor Cavendish, 9th Duke of Devonshire.
