1992–93 St. John's Redmen Basketball Team
The 1992–93 St. John's Redmen basketball team represented St. John's University during the 1992–93 NCAA Division- basketball season. The team was coached by Brian Mahoney in his first year at the school after replacing long time head coach Lou Carnesecca. St. John's home games are played at Alumni Hall and Madison Square Garden and the team is a member of the Big East Conference. Big East Conference (1979–2013)
The Big East Conference was a List of college athletic conferences, collegiate athletics conference that consisted of as many as 16 universities in the eastern half of the United States from 1979 to 2013. The conference's members participated in 24 National Collegiate Athletic Association, NCAA sports. The conference had a history of success at the national level in college basketball, basketball throughout its history, while its shorter (1991 to 2013) football program, created by inviting one college and four other "associate members" (their football programs only) into the conference, resulted in two College football national championships in NCAA Division I FBS, national championships. Charles Minlend
Charles Arnaud Minlend (born May 15, 1973) is a Cameroonian-Canadian former professional basketball player. A 6-foot-6 forward, he played his four years of college basketball at St. John's over 5 seasons (he redshirted one year). After going undrafted in the 1997 NBA draft he started his professional career in France where he played in the LNB Pro B with Poissy-Chatou and then moved to the LNB Pro A where he spent two seasons. He then played three seasons in Israel with Maccabi Givat Shmuel, and was named the 2003 Israeli Basketball Premier League MVP after being the top scorer in 2003 (25.3 points per game). After leaving Israel he moved to South Korea, where he played four seasons and won another scoring title in 2004. He retired in 2008 after playing one season in Ukraine. University Heights Academy
University Heights Academy (University Heights or UHA) is an independent, college preparatory school for students in pre-kindergarten through 12th grade located in Hopkinsville, Kentucky. The school was founded in 1973. As of April 2023, K-12 enrollment is 417.
