In the 1992–93 season, Queens Park Rangers F.C. competed in the inaugural season of the English FA Premier League. They finished the season in 5th place. Season summary QPR enjoyed a strong season in the inaugural season of the Premier League,Even leading after 4 games into the season, ultimately finishing in fifth place - not high enough for UEFA Cup qualification, but still higher than other more fancied sides like Liverpool and Arsenal. Moreover, their high placing ensured that Rangers finished as the top team in London. Kit Clubhouse was QPR's kit manufacturer. Radio Station Classic FM (UK) became new kit sponsors. Gary Kenneth Penrice (born 23 March 1964) is an English football coach, former professional player and scout. As a player, he was a striker who notably played in the Premier League for Queens Park Rangers as well as making top flight appearances for Aston Villa. He also had two spells with Bristol Rovers where he started and finished his professional career, notably alongside Ian Holloway. He also played for Watford and non-league side Mangotsfield United in a career that saw him make over 400 appearances. Following retirement he became assistant manager at Bristol Rovers before returning to Queens Park Rangers in a similar role. Andrew Rodney Impey (born 30 September 1971) is an English football coach and former professional footballer who is an academy coach at Queens Park Rangers. As a player, he was a full-back or winger who notably played in the Premier League for Queens Park Rangers, West Ham United and Leicester City.
