The 1992–93 NBA season was the 45th season for the Los Angeles Lakers in the National Basketball Association, and their 33rd season in Los Angeles, California. The Lakers received the fifteenth overall pick in the 1992 NBA draft, and selected shooting guard Anthony Peeler from the University of Missouri. During the off-season, the team signed free agent James Edwards, who won two championships with the Detroit Pistons. The 1974–75 NBA season was the Lakers' 27th season in the NBA and 15th season in Los Angeles. The team finished with 30 wins and 52 losses. This was the first year that the Lakers missed the playoffs in Los Angeles, and the first year since 1958 that the Lakers failed to make the playoffs overall. The Pacific Division is one of the three divisions in the Western Conference of the National Basketball Association (NBA). Samuel Bruce Perkins (born June 14, 1961) is an American former professional basketball player and executive. Perkins was a three-time college All-American, was a member of the 1982 national champion North Carolina Tar Heels, and won a gold medal with the 1984 United States men's Olympic basketball team.
