The 1992–93 Kansas State Wildcats men's basketball team represented Kansas State University as a member of the Big 8 Conference during the 1992–93 NCAA Division I men's basketball season. The head coach was Dana Altman who was in his third season at the helm. The team played its home games at Bramlage Coliseum in Manhattan, Kansas. The Wildcats finished with a record of 19–11 (7–7 Big 8), and received an at-large bid to the 1993 NCAA Division I men's basketball tournament, NCAA tournament as No. 6 seed in the Southeast region. Dana Altman
Dana Dean Altman (born June 16, 1958) is an American college basketball coach of the Oregon Ducks men's team. Previously he was head coach at Creighton, Kansas State and Marshall. He has been awarded a Coach of the Year Award for each team that he has coached in the NCAA to go with ten conference tournament championships and seven regular season titles while reaching the NCAA tournament sixteen times; he led the Ducks to the Final Four in 2017, which was their first as a program since 1939. College education Dana Altman began playing college basketball at Fairbury Junior College (now Southeast Community College) in Fairbury, Nebraska. He earned an associate degree in business administration there in 1978. He then received his undergraduate degree in the same field at Eastern New Mexico University in 1980.
