1992–93 Indiana Hoosiers Men's Basketball Team
The 1992–93 Indiana Hoosiers men's basketball team represented Indiana University. Their head coach was Bobby Knight, who was in his 22nd year. The team played its home games in Assembly Hall in Bloomington, Indiana, and was a member of the Big Ten Conference. Bob Knight
Robert Montgomery Knight (October 25, 1940 – November 1, 2023) was an American men's college basketball coach (basketball), coach. Nicknamed "the General", he won 902 NCAA Division I men's basketball games, a record at the time of his retirement and sixth all-time record at the time of his death. Knight was the head coach of the Army Black Knights men's basketball, Army Black Knights (1965–1971), the Indiana Hoosiers men's basketball, Indiana Hoosiers (1971–2000), and the Texas Tech Red Raiders basketball, Texas Tech Red Raiders (2001–2008). While at Army, he led the Black Knights to four post-season tournament appearances in six seasons, winning two-thirds of his games along the way. Patrick Clair Knight (born September 21, 1970) is an American basketball coach. It was announced he had been hired as the men's coach at Marian University in Indianapolis on May 8, 2024. Prior to that he was a scout for the Indiana Pacers of the National Basketball Association (NBA). Knight assumed that position on July 1, 2014, and was the Pacers' college scout for the West Coast Region. Formerly, he was an American college basketball coach. He became the coach of the Lamar Cardinals basketball team on April 5, 2011, but was fired on February 16, 2014. He was previously the head coach of the Texas Tech Red Raiders men's basketball team until March 7, 2011. The 1992–93 Florida State Seminoles men's basketball team represented Florida State University as members of the Atlantic Coast Conference during the 1992–93 NCAA Division I men's basketball season. Led by head coach Pat Kennedy, and future NBA players Sam Cassell, Doug Edwards, Bob Sura, and Charlie Ward, the Seminoles reached the Elite Eight of the NCAA tournament. The 1992–93 Tulane Green Wave men's basketball team represented Tulane University in the 1992–93 college basketball season. This was head coach Perry Clark's fourth season at Tulane. The Green Wave competed in the Metro Conference and played their home games at Devlin Fieldhouse. They finished the season 22–9 (9–3 in Metro play) and finished second in the conference regular season standings. NIT Season Tip-Off
The NIT Season Tip-Off (National Invitation Tournament) is an annual college basketball tournament that takes place in November of each year, toward the beginning of the season. The first two rounds are held at campus sites, while the semifinals and the finals are held during the week of Thanksgiving in Brooklyn, NY. 2020's tournament was to be held at Amway Center in Orlando, FL, but the COVID-19 pandemic caused the NCAA to cancel it. The tournament, which is a part of the regular season for all participating colleges, began in 1985 as the Preseason NIT, so-called in order to distinguish it from the post-season NIT. In 2005, the NCAA purchased the Men's Preseason and Postseason NIT and renamed the November tournament the NIT Season Tip-Off. Alan Lybrooks Henderson (born December 2, 1972) is an American former professional basketball player of the National Basketball Association (NBA). He stands tall. Born in Morgantown, West Virginia, Henderson attended Brebeuf Jesuit Preparatory School in Indianapolis, Indiana.
