1992–93 Idaho Vandals Men's Basketball Team
The 1992–93 Idaho Vandals men's basketball team represented the University of Idaho during the 1992–93 NCAA Division I men's basketball season. Members of the Big Sky Conference, the Vandals were led by third-year head coach Larry Eustachy and played their home games on campus at the Kibbie Dome in Moscow, Idaho. The Vandals were overall in the regular season and in conference play, atop the league standings. The conference tournament was held in Moscow for the first time in eleven years, but the Vandals lost by twelve points to Boise State in the final. Idaho had swept the season series, including a fifteen-point win in Boise the previous week before a conference record crowd At 24–8, Idaho was not selected by the National Invitational tournament, and their season ended. Larry Eustachy
Larry Robert Eustachy (born December 1, 1955 in Alameda, California) is an American college basketball coach, most recently the head coach of the Colorado State Rams He was previously the head coach at Idaho and Eustachy was the AP Coach of the Year in 2000 after leading Iowa State to the Elite Eight in the NCAA tournament. Coaching career Idaho At age 34, Eustachy became a head coach at Idaho in April 1990, succeeding Kermit Davis, who left the Palouse for Texas A&M after consecutive Big Sky titles and NCAA tournament appearances. He had been an assistant in Moscow for a season ( 1986–87) under Tim Floyd, and Eustachy's first-year salary as head coach was $52,500. In his third year, he led the Vandals to the regular season championship in 1993, but they lost the tourney title game at home. The Idaho State Bengals men's basketball team represents Idaho State University in the Big Sky Conference in NCAA Division I. Joe Cravens
Joseph Dale Cravens (born March 9, 1954) is a former American college basketball coach. He was the head coach at Weber State, and the interim head coach at Utah for most of a season. Born and raised in Scottsburg, Indiana, Cravens played college basketball at Brunswick Junior College in Georgia and transferred to Texas–Arlington for his final two seasons. He was an assistant coach for a year at his alma mater, then at Southwest Texas State in San Marcos for three years, and returned to Texas–Arlington. In 1985, he joined the staff of new head coach Andy Russo at Washington in Seattle for four years in the Pac-10, then went to Utah under new head coach Rick Majerus in 1989. ExtraMile Arena (formerly BSU Pavilion and Taco Bell Arena) is a multi-purpose indoor arena in the western United States, on the campus of Boise State University in Boise, Idaho.
