1992–93 FC Barcelona Season
The 1992–93 season was the 94th season for FC Barcelona. In La Liga, there was an eerie sense of deja vu in the season as it came down to the final match day with Barcelona trailing Real Madrid by a solitary point. It seemed as though Real Madrid were poised to lift the title, playing their final game, ironically against Tenerife, who denied them the title on the final day of the previous season. Much to the shock of everyone, Tenerife beat Los Blancos 2–0, and with FC Barcelona beating Real Zaragoza 1–0, they won the third consecutive championship in a similar fashion to the previous season. Surprisingly the side was defeated in early rounds of UEFA Champions League and lost the 1992 Intercontinental Cup against Brazilian team São Paulo. José Ramón Alexanko
José Ramón Alexanko Ventosa (; born 19 May 1956), also known as Alexanko or Alesanco, is a Spanish retired football player and manager, who later served as director of football of Valencia. During his career the central defender played with success for both Athletic Bilbao and Barcelona, winning several accolades for the latter – 16 in total – and appearing in 367 La Liga games over the course of 17 seasons (34 goals). Richard Witschge
Richard Peter Witschge (born 20 September 1969) is a Dutch former professional footballer who played as a midfielder. He was known for his technique and passing ability. In an 18-year professional career he played mainly for Ajax, but also represented, amongst other clubs, Barcelona. In 11 seasons in the Eredivisie, he amassed totals of 226 matches and 15 goals. Goran Vučević (born 18 May 1971) is a Croatian former professional footballer who played as a central midfielder. Eusebio Sacristán Mena (; born 13 April 1964), known simply as Eusebio in his playing days, is a Spanish former professional footballer who played as a central midfielder. He was also a manager. José María Bakero Escudero (born 11 February 1963) is a Spanish former professional footballer, currently a manager. Lluís Carreras Ferrer (born 24 September 1972) is a Spanish retired footballer who played mostly as a left-back but also as a defensive midfielder, currently a manager. Miquel Soler Sarasols (born 16 March 1965) is a Spanish former professional footballer.
