1992 Tennent's Sixes
The 1992 Tennents' Sixes was the ninth staging of the indoor 6-a-side football tournament. It was held at the Scottish Exhibition and Conference Centre (SECC) in Glasgow on 19 and 20 January. Clubs from the 1991–92 Premier Division season competed except Rangers and Aberdeen and the two group winners and runners-up qualified to the semi-finals and Celtic won their only Sixes title beating St Johnstone 4–2. Scottish Exhibition And Conference Centre
The SEC Centre (originally known as the Scottish Exhibition and Conference Centre until 2017) is Scotland's largest exhibition centre, located in Glasgow, Scotland. It is one of the three main venues within the Scottish Event Campus. Since the opening of the original buildings in 1985, the complex has undergone two major expansions; the first being the SEC Armadillo in 1997, and then the OVO Hydro in 2013. The venue's holding company SEC Limited, is 91% owned by Glasgow City Council and 9% owned by private investors. It is probably best known for hosting concerts, particularly in Hall 4 and Hall 3. Motherwell ( sco, Mitherwall, gd, Tobar na Màthar) is a town and former burgh in North Lanarkshire, Scotland, United Kingdom, south east of Glasgow. It has a population of around 32,120. Roddy Grant (footballer)
Roderick John Grant (born 16 September 1966 in Gloucester) is an English-born Scottish former professional footballer. He played for seven clubs during a 19-year playing career, beginning as a trainee with Cowdenbeath in 1989 and closing out his professional career with Peterhead in the 2003/2004 season. He played for East Calder C.F.C. as a child before turning professional. Prior to becoming a full-time footballer, Grant was a stonemason. He is best known for his two spells with St Johnstone, during the former of which he scored Saints' second goal in a 3–1 win at home to Airdrie, securing promotion into the Premier Division. Joe Miller (footballer, Born 1967)
Joseph Miller (born 8 December 1967 in Glasgow) is a Scottish retired footballer and a former manager of Scottish Football League club Clyde. He began his playing career as a teenage striker at Aberdeen, featuring in their 1985–86 Scottish Cup success, before moving to Celtic in 1987 for £650,000, a Scottish record transfer fee. Mainly used as a winger from then on, Miller won the 'double' of Scottish League and Scottish Cup with Celtic in 1988, and scored the winning goal for the club in the 1989 Scottish Cup Final. In 1993 he returned to Aberdeen, collecting another winner's medal in the 1995 Scottish League Cup Final to complete a domestic set. Gerard Thomas "Gerry" Creaney (born 13 April 1970, in Coatbridge) is a Scottish former footballer, who played as a striker. Career Creaney began his career with Celtic, signing from the boys club and making his competitive debut in the first team on 24 March 1990 in a 0–0 draw away at Dunfermline. He played in a further five games for Celtic that season, and scored his first goal in a 1–1 draw against Dundee on 21 March 1990. Creaney featured regularly for Celtic the following season, scoring in a win against Dundee United in the league cup semi-final, then netting twice in a 3–2 win over St Mirren, scoring the winning goal in the last minute. John Collins (footballer, Born 1968)
John Angus Paul Collins (born 31 January 1968) is a Scottish professional football manager and former player who played as a midfielder. He played for Hibernian, Celtic, AS Monaco, Everton and Fulham in a 19-year career. Collins also represented Scotland 58 times, scoring in the opening match of the 1998 FIFA World Cup against Brazil. He started his coaching career as manager of Hibernian, winning the 2007 Scottish League Cup Final, but resigned later that year. He then had a brief spell as manager of Charleroi in 2009.
