1991 World Cup (men's Golf)
The 1991 World Cup took place 31 October – 3 November 1991 at the Le Querce Golf Club, name later changed to Golf Nazionale, 30 miles north of Rome, Italy. It was the 37th World Cup event. The tournament was a 72-hole stroke play team event with 32 teams. Each team consisted of two players from a country. The combined score of each team determined the team results. The Swedish team of Anders Forsbrand and Per-Ulrik Johansson won by one stroke over the Wales team of Ian Woosnam and Phillip Price. The individual competition was won by Woosnam. This was the second team victory in professional golf within a month for Sweden, winning also the 1991 Dunhill Cup for three-men teams, were the Swedish team also included Forsbrand and Johansson. Rodger Miles Davis (born 18 May 1951) is an Australian professional golfer. Career Davis was born in Sydney, Australia. In 1974, Davis turned professional and spent his regular career playing mainly on the PGA Tour of Australasia and the European Tour. He won the PGA Tour of Australasia Order of Merit in 1990 and 1991. He made the top ten of the European Tour Order of Merit four times in the late 1980s and early 1990s. His seven European Tour wins included two of Europe's most prestigious tournaments; the British PGA Championship, which he won in 1986 at Wentworth Club, and the season ending Volvo Masters, which he claimed in 1991. Anders Sørensen
Anders Sørensen (born 20 February 1962) is a Danish professional golfer. Professional career Sørensen qualified for the European Tour before the 1988 season. In his first two seasons, he made the cut in slightly more than half the events and recorded two top-10s. In 1990, his third season, would be a marked improvement. He recorded the best result of his career at the first event of the year, the Atlantic Open held in Porto, Portugal. Sørensen entered the fourth round in second place. With the collapse of overnight leader Ronald Stelten, an American player, Sørensen took a two shot lead to the 71st hole. He would falter down the stretch, however, and wind up in a six-way playoff. Daniel Albert Halldorson (April 2, 1952 – November 18, 2015) was a Canadian professional golfer who played on the PGA Tour and the Canadian Tour. David Allen Barr (born March 1, 1952) is a Canadians, Canadian professional golfer who has played on the Canadian Tour, PGA Tour and Champions Tour.
