1990–91 St. John's Redmen Basketball Team
The 1990–91 St. John's Redmen basketball team represented St. John's University during the 1990–91 NCAA Division I men's basketball season. The team was coached by Lou Carnesecca in his 23rd year at the school. St. John's home games are played at Alumni Hall and Madison Square Garden and the team is a member of the Big East Conference. Big East Conference (1979–2013)
The Big East Conference was a List of college athletic conferences, collegiate athletics conference that consisted of as many as 16 universities in the eastern half of the United States from 1979 to 2013. The conference's members participated in 24 National Collegiate Athletic Association, NCAA sports. Point Guard
The point guard (PG), also called the one or the point, is one of the Basketball positions, five positions in a regulation basketball game. A point guard has perhaps the most specialized role of any position and is usually the shortest player on the court. Point guards are expected to control the pace of the game. They effectively "run" the team's offense by controlling the ball and making sure that it gets to the right player at the right time. Generally, point guards are expected to be proficient in passing the ball and being able to get Assist (basketball), assists to teammates. In a pick and roll offense, the point guard typically moves off of screens to facilitate the ball to a Power forward, big. Likewise, point guards can also shoot off of screens if given separation. Nottingham High School (Syracuse, New York)
William Nottingham High School is a public high school located at 3100 East Genesee Street in Syracuse, New York, Syracuse, New York (state), New York. Part of the Syracuse City School District, the high school has an enrollment of about 1350 students in grades 9–12. The school was established in 1921 (making it the oldest, still functioning high school in the city of Syracuse) in the building that is now T. Aaron Levy Middle School. It was named for the prominent Syracuse attorney William Nottingham (1853–1921), who had served on the Syracuse University Board of Trustees and on the New York State Board of Regents. Xaverian High School
Xaverian High School is an independent Catholic high school located in the Bay Ridge neighborhood of Brooklyn, New York, serving grades 6 through 12. Grades 9-12 offer a college preparatory program and grades 6-8 are middle school. History The school was founded in 1957 by the Xaverian Brothers. Hartford Hawks Men's Basketball
The Hartford Hawks men's basketball team is the basketball team that represents University of Hartford in West Hartford, Connecticut. The school's team currently competes as a member of the NCAA Division III Conference of New England. History 2008 In 2008, Hartford made the America East tournament championship game falling to UMBC 65–82. 2021 In 2021, they defeated UMass Lowell, 64–50, to make their first NCAA Division I Tournament.
