Mireya Luis
Alejandrina Mireya Luis Hernández (born 25 August 1967) is a Cuban former volleyball player and three-time Olympic gold medalist. She won gold medals at the 1992, 1996, and 2000 Olympics with the Cuban women's national volleyball team. She was the captain of the Cuban team from the late 1980s until her retirement. In 2004, Mireya was inducted into the International Volleyball Hall of Fame. Career Pan American Games At the age of 10, Mireya started playing volleyball. At 16, Mireya joined the Cuban national team for the 1983 Pan American Games, winning a gold medal. She competed at the 1987 Pan American Games, again helping Cuba win the tournament. She won additional gold medals at the Pan American Games in 1991 and 1995. Magaly Carvajal
Magalys Carvajal Rivera (born 18 December 1968), more commonly known as Magaly Carvajal, is a retired Cuban volleyball player and two-time Olympian. As a middle blocker, she led Cuba to gold medals in the 1992 Summer Olympics in Barcelona and 1996 Summer Olympics in Atlanta. Carvajal also helped Cuba win the silver medal in the 1986 FIVB World Championship in Czechoslovakia and the gold medal in the 1994 FIVB World Championship in Brazil. Additionally, she won gold medals in the 1989, 1991, and 1995 FIVB World Cups in Japan. Carvajal was a starter at just 17 years of age with the Cuban team in the 1987 Pan American Games in Indianapolis, where she won a gold medal. Chang Yoon-hee (; born ) is a retired South Korean female volleyball player. She was part of the South Korea women's national volleyball team. On the club level she played with Honam Oil, which later became LG Oil and then GS Caltex. Chang made a strong start to her career by winning the Most Valuable Player of the Year award in 1989. She was named "best server" at the 1989 FIVB Volleyball Women's World Cup, and "best defender" at the 1991 FIVB Volleyball Women's World Cup. In 1996, she stated that she had no intention of getting married or retiring in the near future. After the 1996 Summer Olympics, she stepped down from the national team, but continued to play at the club level. She married national cycling team member Lee Kyung-hwan in April 1997. Kumi Nakada
is a former professional volleyball player and former coach of Hisamitsu Springs. She was a setter who led Japan to the bronze medal at the 1984 Summer Olympics in Los Angeles at 18 years of age. Coaching In October 2016, Nakada became the Japan women's national volleyball team's head coach.
