The 1987–88 FC Bayern Munich season was the 88th season in the club's history and 23rd season since promotion from Regionalliga Süd in 1965. Bayern Munich finished as runner-up in the 1987–88 Bundesliga, Bundesliga to SV Werder Bremen. The club reached the quarterfinals of both the 1987–88 DFB-Pokal, DFB-Pokal and the 1987–88 European Cup, European Cup. The inaugural DFL-Supercup, DFB-Supercup was won by Bayern Munich over Hamburger SV. This season was the first season under manager Jupp Heynckes, who replaced Udo Lattek. Lars Lunde (born 21 March 1964) is a Denmark, Danish former professional Association football, football player, who played in the Forward (association football), striker position. Lunde got his breakthrough with Brøndby IF in 1983, and he made his debut for the Denmark national football team in October 1983. He was sold to Young Boys Bern in Switzerland, before moving to Germany, German club FC Bayern Munich, Bayern Munich in 1986. Michael Rummenigge
Michael Rummenigge (born 3 February 1964) is a German former professional footballer who played as a forward. Career Rummenigge was born in Lippstadt, North Rhine-Westphalia. At the beginning of his career, he did not have it easy as a player with the Bayern Munich star team. He was often compared to his older brother, Karl-Heinz Rummenigge, captain of FC Bayern Munich and the Germany national team. Rummenigge joined Bayern Munich in 1981 as a member of the German junior national team at the age of 17, coming from Borussia Lippstadt. Frank Mill
Frank Mill (born 23 July 1958) is a German former professional footballer who was a member of the 1990 FIFA World Cup winning squad of West Germany. Further, he participated at the 1984 and at the 1988 Summer Olympics, where he won the bronze medal with the West German team.
