The 1986–87 Chicago Blackhawks season was the 61st season of operation of the Chicago Blackhawks in the National Hockey League. A notable change happened for the team in the off-season as they had previously been known as the "Black Hawks", they removed the space from the name and have been written as the "Blackhawks" ever since.
