The 1985 Women's Hockey Asia Cup was the first edition of the Women's Hockey Asia Cup. It was held in Seoul, South Korea from 20 September to 25 September 1985. The Women's Hockey Asia Cup is a women's international field hockey tournament organized by the Asian Hockey Federation. The South Korea women's national field hockey team represents the Republic of Korea (South Korea). The team has participated in every Summer Olympic Games since 1988 and have won silver twice: at the 1988 Seoul Summer Olympics and at the 1996 Atlanta Summer Olympics. Malaysia Women's National Field Hockey Team
The Malaysia women's national field hockey team represents Malaysia in international field hockey competitions. As of Jan 2017, the team was ranked 21st in the FIH World Rankings. The team is part of the Asian Hockey Federation. They recently participated in the inaugural International Super Series in Perth, playing against India and Australia in a modified 9-a-side format. Malaysia achieved 5th place in the 2007 Women's Hockey Asia Cup. The team won a bronze medal in the 1982 Asian Games and came 4th place in 1986. The 1985 Men's Hockey Asia Cup was the second edition of the Men's Hockey Asia Cup, the quadrennial international men's field hockey championship of Asia organized by the Asian Hockey Federation. It was held in Dhaka, Bangladesh from 20 to 28 January 1985. The defending champions Pakistan won its second Asian title by defeating India 3–2 in the final.
